Anyone hear Luke Darcy refer to him as Kane Lambert like five stuffing times in a row?

Yep. I thought to myself that there is only 20cm difference in height....

But they both have beards..... :rollin

Not the most accurate way to judge but considering it was deep in the back line too you'd think he'd get it right :lol. Seriously, this guy gets the players wrong so consistently I'm surprised he has a job

I'm not sure how you can pick that one thing from the litany of things he gets wrong as a commentator in any sport he chooses to ruin for the audience who have to have their experience ruined by his droll, inaccurate ramblings
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

My favourite thing Basil does is when he is calling a shot for goal - "Martin has a shot from 50, it's on it's way, it's a good looking kick" while he is commentating this, the ball has already gone through for a behind, the umpire has signalled and the ball is getting brought back in.
And you may not think I care for you

He did something very similar when calling the swimming, seemed to commentate 5 metres behind what was happening - good for radio tho

Bloke is having a great year, tough footballer, holds his feet, runs with the ball.
