Lol so now the cut off point to be called experienced is 200 games.
We have plenty of experienced players. How many times does it need to be done. How many times do people need to ignore it.

Nankervis, Lynch, Prestia who we also kept for experience, Short who they keep playing, Broad, Vlastuin, Balta has over 100 games Ross, Hopper, Taranto, Kossie, Mansell, Lefau, Young, Miller. Are all mature players aged 24 or more. 9 of em have at least 100 games and the majority of the rest have been on the list for 3 or more years.

Experienced is an excuse. Richo is entitled to his opinion but boy i rarely ever listen to what he has to say because he is always wrong.

Simply put the argument is not about experience. its about 1/ how well he plays 2/ what he actually brings on game day and 3/ the biggie to be asked is he taking the spot away from a kid simply because of sentiment?

On All three he gets a fail.
Why would it have been so hard to keep him around the club in some sort of capacity without putting him on the list. Anyone want to answer that one?

He would have made a good leader for all the kids that are coming playing VFL.

Think you're wrong on this one

Mate i get plenty wrong but on this i think im right.

I have already shot the we need him for experience call down. Something his defenders just plain ignore.
We are not bereft of mature and experienced players. Anyone want to actually put up an opposing argument here?

There is no call for us to keep him solely for that reason. In fact it is wrong. imo we are not short of experienced players or more to the point that devoid of them that we have to desperately hang onto underperformers like McIntosh. I have given a pretty decent list to suggest im right.

There is nothing but he is good around the club and he has high training standards. That is the pro's for giving him another year on the list. Thanks but no thanks for me.

Another question apart from the shot down experience crap. given the other  two things they think we need to keep him for, why would we not get him off the list as we are wasting a spot and denying someone a go on the list.  What is so hard about  finding  a role for him  within the club either coaching or even playing VFL. Anyone want to answer.

Iv'e been  happy to go into his form, his stats his foibles on field and the players who need to be tried in his role. All just ignored so why bother again.
Are we having a debate ?  well only  one side is making any relevant points here..Seems  it does not suit the pro crowd to enter into a factual debate nope lets just be ignorant and ignore it again.
At least i list good reasons why we should not keep him, all i get back is the spurious oh he is good around the club and he trains hard.

Mate given that you went salty and MIA when we got the 2017 flag after all the nonsense you said beforehand I think we can agree you get plenty wrong from time to time and maybe aren't the best judge of where the club is at culturally etc.

I think the club is better positioned now than it has been most of the last 40 years.

If they see benefit and value in keeping KMac I agree and support their decision.

So you  admit your nothing more than a yes man and don't have an opinion.. If the club says it is so it must be right hey.
The question you need to ask yourself is do you see benefit and value in keeping Flappers?  rather than just parroting what the club thinks.

You can think what you like about 2017  nice deflection anyway. Still refusing to make a case for why we should keep McIntosh. So now its if the club sees a benefit then its good enough for me, and it should be good enough for all of us.. Thats not an argument.

We are having a debate about SHOULD we have kept McIntosh if so why.

Funny enough no one wants to talk about why we should keep him. Is that because there is not a very good case to be made as to why we should keep him.

Obviously the club see something god knows what, but apart from, He is a good trainer and he is good around the club what else have they or anyone else here come up with.
OH THATS RIGHT WE ARE BEREFT OF EXPERIENCE.
Who here agrees with that after being shown the list of 100 plus game players and regular 24yrs and older players we have still.
Are people that pathetic that they cannot admit that we do not indeed lack experienced players.

Does anyone want to make a better case for him other than the spurious clap trap that has been dished up so far.

I’ll have a crack as for a reason they might have kept him.

And I might add I was on the fence regarding whether to do so and didn’t care whichever way they went.

My thoughts.

He plays a position requiring gut running and he covers a lot of territory. Something that often takes the kids aerobically a couple of pre-seasons to be able to do at his levels.

We lost Graham (another who covers territory and Pickett, the other winger)

Maybe they see a role that K-Mac and his ability to gut run both ways on a wing will be able to do that the kids won’t.

He might not play but will show kids how to prepare professionally to play. That’s all.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

It's only a problem should he be playing in the 22 every week undeservedly. I can go either way on his retention.

Not worth anyone getting their nickers in a knot over just yet

So does he need to be on our list to do that?  I don't think so.
Are there no others who cannot do that?

Agree

Agree X 2.

It’s not gonna make or break our list either way.

Suggest we’ll see a fair few very average players being picked up over the next few seasons as stop gaps, kmac is the least of our worries.

Okay at least you had a go. So you surmise there is no one capable of gut running at the club other than McIntosh.
I would argue that HRS a 6th year player  and Banks a 4th year player, both not my favorites,  are better options and even  if  they have not gone past him  are at worst  on a par and are at a stage where they should get precedence. We hope they can only get better from here on in and can be be better for playing seniors. its not as if McIntosh is setting a high bar.
I suppose tis is being Narcissistic you know making a counter argument but its not what you think about McIntosh so it has to be Narcissistic yeah.
Unlike many around here i at least make a case for what i think. what's your excuse?.

I can think of three others i would love for the club to try on a wing. Smith, Trezise and Campbell. Campbell in particular has a good motor and he is definately a kid who can play midfield lets not just pidgeon hole him as a small forward. Again this is where we are at we need to find out what these kids can do in other roles that look like suiting them.
There is also a few in the draft that we could well take.

Our midfield and flanks lack pace and ball use more than anything lets at least try and address it. Kamdyn offers none of this he doesnt even offer a ball winning ability he doesnt tackle and he is not a great marking player despite being 192cm.

Another in Broad i have thought should be tried there as a defensive wing to allow the likes of Brown game time where he belongs or give a defensive spot to Bauer or Trezise. The only way we are going to find out about these kids is regular game time in the seniors.

People say he is the least of our worries and i disagree he is as big a problem we have on the list if he is getting regular games.

Oh well done to the moderator. Instead of moderating abusive posts you encourage it.
Fine lets go down that path shall we.

Id like to know where i have said anyone is wrong in this apart from the Richo line and lets be honest here, it  is a rare commodity around here for anyone to be honest.
Richo does gets an awful lot wrong and on this one he is wrong if he is useing a lack of Experience as an excuse to hang onto old fumbles. But hey you dont have the guts to address what has been said because you may have to admit your wrong.

Anyone want to make a case in Richo's favour when he says we need to keep Fumbles because of a lack of experience. Anyone ?.

Seems there is more than one Narcissist around here.

Still no one wants to address the points being made but  boy the personal stuff is a good way to deflect.

Im still asking all the duffell coat wearers out there to make a case for why we would keep him with something more than a spurious argument.

I actually feel sorry for some of you. you are so caught up in all things Richmond that you cannot be objective when people criticise.

"Abusive posts"? You got called out for yet again for claiming someone is wrong because they don't agree with you. You do it all the time and when you get called out for it you say your being abused. Based on the meaning of narcissism you were not abused.

Here's the thing.

What you put forward is your opinion (s);which you are entitled to. But in your world your opinions are always right.

But without fail as you have proven time and time again is that when anyone writes anything that is the opposite of your opinion they are wrong. Case in point in this thread you say the only person you've said is wrong is Richo. But if you actually read what you have written your posts are full of digs, snide remarks and belittling

You say you were abused but you don't think anything you've posted in your replies is abusive or belittling posters right?

You seem very selective in what you deem to be abuse and what you think is acceptable.

You said in a reply "So you  admit your nothing more than a yes man and don't have an opinion" . Is this not a cheapshot,  sarcastic belittling comment to people who disagree with you?

Then there's "Okay at least you had a go" again a snide comment when someone has given opinion, a view that differs from yours

And finally you make a sweeping insult with this "Im still asking all the duffell coat wearers out there" again clearly a put down of posters who don't agree with you or who have presented an opinion that you dot like and refuse to acknowledge

As I said you seem to be very selective in what you deem abuse... and please don't use your usual comeback of "I didn't start it, I'm doing what others do to me" ...
