Not sure that knights performance answered whether he is an upgrade on batch, is a poor defender and failed to cash in n a couple of straight forward shots on goal....would just hang onto is spot..petterd let me down, liked his work last 2 games, made a couple of bad blues out there today, think both cost goals

dreaming if you think Mr magooo will be dropped. Vickery goes way before him, not so much as on talent, but on intensity.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

yeah, swan outpointed him in a marking contest. what a surprise that a 200 game brownlow medalist outpointed a kid in a marking contest.

Realise that al, just pointing out that kid has a ways to go that's all.

Was disappointed in a couple of his 2nd efforts that may not have shown up on the TV

Just reckon he needs a full game somewhere, he had a big preseason and I am genuinely surprised he's been the sub 3 weeks in a row

Frustrating game by all. But how Dimma and the coaching panel, let alone anyone on this forum think that Ellis has anything to offer is beyond me. He is so physically weak it's embarrassing he wears a Tigers jumper. I can honestly say he is pathetic!...... And I hate him :lol

watching on the tV he got involved a number of times in the same play, which showed the sort of running we want to see.

I explained what the thinking is behind him being sub. whether it is right or wrong, who knows, but they seem to think it worked for gaff at WC and are following that model.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

as for being sub, leppa said that the eagles used gaff repeatedly as a sub  and that it kept him fresh for when they started giving him full games after about 2 months when the pace of the game stared to drop off.
They are basically following that model with him to "keep his legs fresh"

Won't develop properly that way. pee off Petterd to the VFA and let Ello play.

Petterd can go do his weird kicking motion in the 2's.

you dont reckon it worked for gaff? or just that it wont work for ellis?

serious question.

can young legs take plenty of running for the whole year, or do they tire and risk injury?

like most i was under opinion that you cant be sub too often or it affects your fitness, but what i heard leppa say today makes some sort of sense, and it seems to have worked for others in the past.

its a long season and we do see young legs tire as the season goes on.

I dont think it's working with Brandon, Al. Needs to go back to Coburg to regain some touch I reckon. Time for Vlas, Helbig etc. to have a crack.
Maybe Dea in for Morris.

FWIW, he had 13 touches in a quarter and a half of footy today. more than 8 players that played a full game and around about that of another half a dozen that played a full game.

Out Morris suspension.
Vickery today showed that the heart of a shrew beats harder than Tyrones.
Ellis needs game time and today he did a few things that were forgettable.

In Vlaustin
Stephenson get him in for a run and we can rest Ivan fwd or back.
One of Aaron Edwards or Todd Elton

When will we start calling Ellis "kermit"?
