:lol I was going to chuck the same vid up as soon as I got home. Not very often will Steam pull a game. Might not even make it to console now. It's just that bad  :lol

Hasn't been a good cricket game since Shane Warne '99.

I always give the aussie sports games a bit of leeway, AFL and cricket, they're usually terrible but i'll put up with them, but that one looks something else.  :lol

Haven't played a cricket game since the Commodore 64.

Here's  footage of Don Bradman 14:

never heard of those players....

...that defensive stroke looked like a fullblooded coverdrive...

..why did the bowler chase the ball to the boundary when there was a fielder right there?

Who programmed this abomination? Yanks?

Pass.

Watched some footage of that game before, looks 200x better than Ashes 13 but still doesn't look natural. You're right, every shot looks like a cover drive and the commentary still lags too far behind the actual gameplay.

I don't know how many indians have consoles, but surely if a great cricket game was made, there is a huge market for them to tap into.

The Ricky Ponting Ashes game a few years back wasn't too bad even if it were using the same recycled  commentary from SW 99  :lol another problem with every cricket game is that they are never 100% ICC licensed and can't use the names outside of Ashes or whatever it is themed on.

International cricket on SNES was good too.

Since being relegated to second tv (though smaller than the loungeroom telly is actually better for gaming) and using an office chair I've been getting a sore back.... so I just bought a la-z-boy for no other purpose other to game on  :lol

PS4 collection has now expanded to include NBA2k14 and Battlefield 4. 2k is disappointing. The career mode is awesome but gameplay plagued with some frustrating mechanics. For example if you get a free shot from the perimeter you still have to time the shot perfectly. Imstead of punishing the D for letting you open, you get punished for missing the shot release by a fraction of a second. Miss a couple shots and you go cold and good luck draining any baskets other than an uncontested breakaway layup.

For all the fanning BF4 gets it's underwhelming. Runs at 900p on consoles with crappy textures so BF3 on my PC on ultra settings is still better. Hit registry is all over the shop, 64 player maps means every game is sniper ally/camp haven and the PS4 version is plagued with a random crash error. Actually preferring CoD Ghosts.

Finally been chomping into Killzone: Shadowfall. Visuals are stunning and online is great. Instead of leveling up through XP you unlock stuff through challenges.

Will be slim for new games over next 6 months. I think Driveclub will be out and Watch Dogs. Keen for WD. Latest PS Australia mag showing off more of The Order. Super interested in that one.

Can you still do the VC hack?

On 2k13 it was going to take me about 15 seasons to make my player half decent, then I used the VC loophole, and by the end of the first season my player is ranked 99 on almost everything.

Which hack? Was it the save games where you have a bunch of games saved with only minutes on the clock? Don't use any myself but seen the VC hack question asked several times and the answer is always the same hacks are apparently still there. I usually just play seasons or exhibition games and use the VC on my dude.

The career mode has been overhauled and pretty in depth. From the showcase you are pitched against your rival in the same position that you are trying to beat for a higher draft position. Various times there is smack talk. When our teams first  came to play each other he challenged me to who would get more points (in my game we're both SGs). This is where it got unfair. You get more court minutes to try. I was counting his scores and even leaving my assignments to mark him since my teammates were letting him in the paint. I got to 17 and counted his score to 7. Then in the 3rd it showed tue comparison and he had 15??? Anyway, I got two baskets and 1/2 free throws making 22, he got a 3, a 2 and 1/2 frees. 21 right? No. It said he was on 22.  I ended up losing the challenge 28-26 when I should have had him blown away by 10. Didn't help that I'm on the Jazz and he's Thunder. It's crap like that which is turning me off sports games. Like rubber banding. Stop punishing the player for being good.

Rau should be made to foot the bill for this himself. These religious and family groups are nothing but a scourge.

Yeah that's it.

I had 5 games saved all with ~20 seconds left. I'd play them all, collect 2500 VC, upgrade my player, play a season game, then go back out and play my saved games again.

Might do that myself. They've removed the 3 training drills a week for an occassional team drill so you cant get that cheap VC anymore. I'm on the Jazz and they suck in my game. I'm sixth man and the coach sent me out to get 8 points with 60% accuracy and reduce the gap from 14 to 5. I got 21 points at 55% but couldn't reduce the gap because my team sucks. So he pulled me into the office post game and said my minutes were reduced. So I cracked it, then at training hard fouled Jefferson, abused him and the trainer had to break it up  :lol so my dude is going to be a jerk now and I'm trying to get traded.

In 2k13 on my SG I maxed 3pt, shoot in traffic and shoot from dribble and got shot creator and dead eye. Would just roam the perimeter racking up 40+ a game (but still get abused on social media for not getting enough boards  :lol)

Wayno I tried the save trick but there is no more save and quit option.  BUT you can start a GM mode, choose the Heat, tell the owner you'll accomplish his tasks and sim the season (turn off injuries and fatigue and turn on automation). Delete save and do it again.  Average about 700 VC in 5-10 mins. One time I only got 250 but one time got over 1000
