Every weather web-site is saying the same thing for Sunday, possible showers and 12-13o.

Adelaide's forecast for tomorrow (which is usaully what we can expect within 24-36 hours) is showers and a top of 11o, so would love to know how you came up with 16?

It might be sunny at the moment (3.55pm 19/7/2013) but there is rain on the way that should pass through parts of Melb within the next couple of hours

You can track it on the weather radar on the BOM web-site

The forecast reminds me of the game against Freo 10 years ago when the 'G was drenched by a torrential storm and players were sliding around in pools of water. We flogged Freo that day so you didn't care about the weather.

If it's going to be wet tomorrow, it's vital we get a good start while the ball is still fairly dry initially. You don't want to be playing catch up footy in low scoring slog.

Key Docker in doubt

    Brad Elborough, Perth
    The Age
    July 20, 2013

All-Australian ruckman Aaron Sandilands is in doubt for Sunday's round 17 clash between Fremantle and Richmond at the MCG.

Sandilands was not on the team's flight to Melbourne on Friday afternoon, but Dockers coach Ross Lyon said he was expected to travel on Saturday and he remained optimistic that the champion ruckman would take his place in the side. ''We'll give him another night at home. He's been a bit off. Cold winter, bit of a sniffle, bit sore. We'll monitor him and we're really hopeful and optimistic, but we're prepared if he doesn't play,'' Lyon said.

''So we've got [Jesse] Crichton, [Matt] Taberner and [Jack] Hannath. So we'll check out the conditions and the run, but we're optimistic.''

Sandilands has played only two games this season - the past two - having missed the first 14 rounds with a foot injury.

Defenders Clancee Pearce and Paul Duffield will take their places in the side.

Pearce has been cleared to play after concerns of concussion from a clash with West Coast's Andrew Embley last weekend that saw the Eagle suspended and the Docker subbed out of the game. Duffield has missed the past two games with a calf injury.

Nice, no Sandi. Ivan must be rubbing his hands together  :shh

I struggle to believe what Ross Lyon says at times, especially when it comes to team selections and Aaron Sandilands.

Was that the game where, i think it was Stafford and Sandilands were so uncoordinated in those conditions. There was one incident were Staff and sandi had the ball between them and they tried to pick it up in the end they just laughed at each other.

Yep 2003 Mr Tigs we were 5 goals up at half time and then it rained and rained and rained and we won by 8 goals. Very funny day that day, heard a Rich supporter tell a Freo fan in the Southern that the Melbourne monkey was no longer on their back but now up their bums. The fight that ensued was gold. Never forget it. :lol :rollin :lol

Sandi doesn't play in wet games with his slippery basketball shoes. It's in his contract.
