Adelaide's view of the draft this year is that it contains six to 10 standouts, an even amount of talent for the next 20-odd players but drops off after that.It is a position shared by the majority of clubs, which view the 30-mark as a clear drop in value.http://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/waiting-game-for-crows-on-bernie-vince-deal-to-become-a-demon/story-fndv862c-1226741956487#mm-breached

Every second year they talk about shallow drafts, I don't buy it, there are plenty of guys who given the chance would be able to play afl

Drafts can only truly be judged in hindsight. Either way I'll take unproven kids and good state-leaguers over proven duds & list-cloggers every day of the week whether they're pick 8 or pick 80.
