Adelaide's view of the draft this year is that it contains six to 10 standouts, an even amount of talent for the next 20-odd players but drops off after that.

It is a position shared by the majority of clubs, which view the 30-mark as a clear drop in value.

Inside Football's Brett Anderson ‏@BrettAndersonIF twitter:

"Draft very shallow so trading most of their picks is an option. Most clubs want to be out of this draft by pick 40."

Well that will happen with us now! Pick 12 & 50!

Every second year they talk about shallow drafts, I don't buy it, there are plenty of guys who given the chance would be able to play afl

The lack of compensation for Nahas, Mcgaune, White makes the Hampson trade look much worse.

Smeg the AFL. Make up rules as they please  :banghead :banghead

yep that one came out of left field, in hindsight a 3rd rounder even end of 3rd round would have been fair for white, and given us another pick in the 40's at least

Agree. Drafts can only truly be judged in hindsight. Either way I'll take unproven kids and good state-leaguers over proven duds & list-cloggers every day of the week whether they're pick 8 or pick 80.

Poster 'rammbo' on BF claims there's some interest from us in Jake Kolodjashniji (twin brother of Kade) presumably with a late pick. He thinks however Brisbane could grab him before us with Leppitsch using his Richmond knowledge.
