anyone swinging off hammers nuts care to tell me how his second efforts after the ruck contest were on the weekend?

Did he actually contribute to the contest or just stand there with his hands on his hips, again?

I thought around the ground he was a lot better this week. Certainly, made more contests, gave much better 2nd efforts and actually chase. This week after a marking contest when the pill hit the deck he tried to get involved....

in fairness those two were a bit more that usefull contribeters to their team.

and there are some very astute football followers on here who seem to think a ruckman only has to jump and tap the ball to do his job, which is very much at odds with what you are saying

yep probably his best display when talking around the ground work - not saying much as were working off a pretty low base, but it was there. I'm not adverse to keeping him on for another year or two as backup to a new number 1 ruck whilst we develop one or two young rucks we will hopefully draft this year!

It's the club who never bothered to scout or develop rucks as a primary position..so now the fans can
get excited by tiny increments of improvement over several years, instead of rising to elite level.
