Hampson's leap in general play has disappeared.
He's ok in the ruck contest but I saw saw him grabbing some spectacular grabs during pre season.
What's happened?
That knee of his is patched up without a doubt.

Been playing injured since round 2

Been playing poo since 2007.

Graham 3 year deal
Shaun Higgins 3 year deal
J McMahon 3 year deal
Grigg 3 year deal

We are lucky to have had them
Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

They're lucky to have had us.

Getting recruited by Richmond may be a booby prize for talented footballers but for hacks it's like winning the lottery.

Would that explain why he stood still and let the hawks ruckman (I think it was Hale) peel off him and monster Titch in a marking contest on the members wing resulting in a turnover?
To Hampson's credit, he did stick his arm out to make it look like he was actually trying to do something but from my end all it looked like he was doing was reaching out for a bowl of Megan's Penne all'Arrabbiata.

Pick 28 - Lewis Taylor   :banghead

Pick 34 - Nick Robertson  :banghead
got laughed at all pre season when i argued taking just 1 kid in the off season was not good enough and a mistake.

i was even ridiculed for daring to suggest with orren on the list we didnt need hampson and we should have chased the longer term Longer instead.
chappy and laidler anyone.
12 longer 20yo
25 dumont PICK WE GET IN THE LONGER TRADE
32 hewitt
50 marsh
64 templeton.
rookie darcy cameron. they may all fail but it was a far better process than the one we went down.

Did I expect much? No. Did I expect more than what's been dished up? Yes. Silly me

You forgot Matt Sully.  Monster FB from Geelong's VFL side.  Would have been an inspired pick...
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

yeah sully was another i liked  waldhuter was another.  just think we could have addressed needs mucch better than we did.

on hampson, purely as a ruckman in ruck contests i reckon hes been good gotta give him some credit there.
i keep on thinking we should play him as a third tall/ruck, we got him for this role to free up vickery and add another  tall fwd option but the continued failure to impact as a marking player   sort of has me think  im dreaming.
to me he should be viewed as a back up to ivan and a reasonable backup, but  we have a need to find a few long term ruck options.

Tap work is pretty good but he offers nothing else. Cannot take a mark to save himself and has the presence of Ben Nason.

I agree - comparisons to Hamspud are indeed the ultimate insult to Ben Nason.

Nah I can't have this Dioc. Hampson may be useless but Nason is the worst player to have played AFL footy. Including Cain Ackland
