December 12, 2015 Richmond youngster Ben Lennon's pre-season has been put on hold as he recovers from a bout of glandular fever.
Lennon, 20, will miss the Tigers training camp next week at Palm Cove as a result of the illness.
The club's physical performance manager Peter Burge said he didn't expect Lennon to be overly affected by the ailment.
"While this is obviously a setback for Ben, it's important he concentrates on getting healthy, and we will support him through that process," Burge said on the club's website.
"Pleasingly, it's a mild case of the illness, and we don't anticipate he will be out of action for an extended period.
"We will monitor him closely, and make a decision on his availability to return to training when his health dictates."
Small forward Lennon has played 16 games since being drafted at pick 12 in the 2013 draft. He was linked with a move to Carlton during the trade period before re-signing with Richmond until the end of 2017.
