Totally agree. Lennon should never have been the sub. It was a no brainer to promote Miles but the club struggled with the decision. It was clear that we were going to struggle against the Demons re: hard ball gets but the club yet again failed to make the right selections. I hope that Miles plays against his former team. He has plenty of motive for putting in a big one but I have no confidence in the team selections. Furthermore if the club shows any guts to select him they will probably put him as the sub.

They finally have admitted, in this strange two weeks later kind of a way, they made a mistake not promoting him at the start of the year in front of a bloke that couldn't get an AFL last year.
Weak as p1zz.

Seems it's not that simple since posters continue to suggest that only Thomas OR Miles could be promoted.

It's not rocket science, put players on the LONG TERM INJURY LIST when they have a long term injury and replace them with a similar player.
Use spare places on the senior list to promote midfielders as extras to allow relief eg Vlastuin or Cotchin or Deledio or Morris or Jackson short term injuries.

The reason I said Thomas is because they are similar players, most likely going for the same position at the start of the year. And the fact that Miles is the only player out of that lot has earnt his spot on the list. The others you mention are just names on the rookie list that have done very little..

That would be the ruck position that Stephenson took while Maric was injured. That was my whole bloody point.
What position did Thomas and Miles go for at the start of the year?
The "only player" who has "earnt his spot"? The idea is to replace injured players with the "insurance" rookie list players as said by the club.
