He was seen as a bit short.  Another rubbish characteristic that people look at.  FFS if you can play, you can play.  Look at Boomer Harvey.

You still haven't answered my question though.  Name me the 10 players out of Albury who were better than Miles back then.
OER. Calling it as it is since 2004.

Maybe he's a rookie because he has some weaknesses because his coaches have no stuffing idea.

Don't think Miles is the answer
Previous coaches of Anthony are very surprised he has got this far
He was an all aust u18 , killed at u18 and the champs and choco coached him at gws. Are you m,ain't this up ::)

Played 10 games in 2 years. is 22 and is a rookie
My mail out of Albury is that there were probably 10 better players playing up there that should of got drafted before
Maybe just maybe RFC should " look outside the square " abit more
Taking Choco recommendation mighten be the answer you know
They all make mistakes
Your mail is poo.

Read this…..

Anthony Miles is an inside midfielder from Howlong near Albury and is hailed as a natural leader having captained NSW/ACT at both the NAB Under”16 and Under”18 Championships. In 2009 Miles played 13 matches as a bottom aged player for the Murray Bushrangers in the TAC Cup, and in 2010 he played 11 matches to average an elite 27 disposals and 12 contested possessions per match. In both seasons he was runner”up in the Bushrangers best and fairest and in 2010 was selected in the TAC Cup Team of the Year. At the 2009 NAB Under”18 Championships he averaged 13 disposals and five-contested possessions while in 2010 his averages of 30 disposals and 13 contested possessions were both ranked number one. These efforts saw him selected in the 2010 NAB AFL U18 All”Australian team.

Now tell me the names of 10 players that did better.

Go on, I'm waiting.
Never let the facts get in the way of a good story, jacks mail was from another punter legless at the. Bar :lol

Is there a chance the RFC made a mistake when choosing a player?  :whistle
Let's be honest, Anthony Miles is exactly the type of player we need right now.

Here we go.... Another player that the TV completely misses what he does or doesn't do.. 3 votes  :lol
And to answer your question yes I have watch him live. He runs and he tackles and he chases. More than most half wits running around for us at the moment.
And that resume is pretty impressive whichever way you read it whether it's on TV, on your iPad, laptop or live at the ground  :shh
Just so I'm clear this 'mail out of Albury' coached him before he even played TAC Cup and if that's true and he was a bottom aged kid, and he is 22 now, that would be  a long time ago. Believe it or not kids can actually improve from when they were 15.
Just saying....

P.S. It's not the same mail as you got during the trade period is it?  :thumbsup

I have seen him a few times ,and what impresses me most is that hes very lightly built ,yet he is always at the bottom of the pack  and usually ends up with the clearance.I don't think hes blessed with lightning speed ,so don't know how that stacks up at the senior level.I also think his disposal is a little iffy.but if its an inside mid we need he certainly is one.

If he was good as the article that was written earlier in this topic eg All Australian etc
Why on earth is he only a rookie
There are 720 players ahead of him
End of story

I would have him in our senior side infront of about 12 blokes at the moment.

Why were so many great players only rookie listed initially in the past. Why were players like Michael Barlow overlooked?
Recruiting is an inexact science. Your argument is poor.

I worry about his disposal as it is quite poor. Might be another Matt Thomas unfortunately

what each of us sees out on the football field is not always so.we see what we want to see.Take the example of banfield last sat in the reserves. He was listed as one of our best.Whereas I thought he was probably just a notch up on Ty game(horrible).
I guess in the end lets trust the blokes who are getting paid big bucks ,to get their decision making right on the personnel we have
