Ordinary first quarter to be honest which gave the Eagles a couple of soft goals. However, improved markedly after that and clearly had the better of Hickey especially after half-time. 12 disposals, 6 clearances, 40 hitouts & a goal (and robbed of another) if a top return from Ivan.

Spot on. We were killed in the ruck early, but great to see Soldo and Mabs stick to their guns and triumph in the end.

Got to keep it in perspective though. Hickey ain't fit to be Nicnats jock strap.

I haven’t looked at the stats but it looked like our mids benefited from his ruck work, especially late in the game.

He was WOG in the first quarter and was palming it down WC's throat. Was pretty decent after that, stood up later in the game.

Not best 22 though :shh
