Also Vickery can't be traded even if he wanted to go.
Because he only re signed this year we are not allowed to trade him.
Something to do with the last collective bargaining agreement that no player who re signs either a new contract or contract extension can be offered for trade until 12 months of signing the new agreement has passed.
Looks like we're stuck with Vickery for another season.

Good point

Vickery and Newman for whipping boys next year

You'd think if it was mutually agreed to you should be able to trade but then I don't know the reason behind it, might be a really good one.

Ellis no chance and nor should they

So are you saying Angus that if Melb came to Richmond and offered picks 1 & 3 for Ellis you wouldn't take it?

 ;D

of course. I would do that for just about anyone outside of Dusty and Cotch, but your clutching if you think that would eventuate.

Pretty sure that rule was changed (again) a couple of seasons ago because of free agency

We should try and trade duds like Grigg for really late/token draft picks so at least we can use those picks on Miles (& Thomas if we insist, which sadly I think we will) instead of wasting earlier picks on rookie upgrades.

Houli and Grigg should be offered for Trade. Would say Hampson but there is no chance of trading him because every other club recognizes his lack of talent.

I don't know why but I'm optimistic with Conca. For me I see upside in him, because he does grunt work and at times really nails those bullet passes and not to mention that sidestep through 2 geelong players earlier this year was great.

For me he just needs to get his body right, complete a full preseason and 2015 could be his break out year.

Im not as confident about conca now as I was earlier this season - really pettered out(no pun intended) as the season progressed. His ball drop has always been a big concern for mine - and his kicks have a strange high spinning rotation to the ball, not like a well executed drop punt.

I remember FJ stating one of the reasons they took him was his kicking skills. I just have to question that judgement bc that's always been and will always be his weakness. Just hope he gets a full pre-season and shows a bit next season bc its starting to look like we got it awfully wrong

How about Hampson to St Kilda, Gwilt to GWS, One set of drink bottles, good used condition to Richmond?
Who isn't a fan of the thinking man's orange Tim Fleming?

One thing that worries me is that he has gone backwards with his kicking!

Look at this 2010 highlights http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xo0VLULZDZo
He actually looks like a better kick.  How can a guys skills go backward at an AFL club?  He should have been able to improve on what he had to start with....... :huh

Not to mention the salary space.
