Conca's capable of very good disposal - two of the best passes by foot I've seen in the last few years were both kicked by him, problem is his disposal is far too inconsistent and therefore unreliable which makes it average at best.

i wonder how much of this comes down to his inability to string games together because of injury?

Yes that possibly could be a part of it though he has a had a few decent runs at it, hasn't had a full pre-season yet - though for comparison, Cotchin has only had one full pre-season since he was drafted - but it's not like he's been in & out for a few months at a time his entire career - before this year he's still managed seasons of 17, 18, 17 & 19 senior matches and there's been a suspension or two amongst all that as well, so it hasn't always been injuries that've cost him matches.

I would drop him for Dea , made 4 blunders in the first half that lead to scoring ops for freo . He s not carrying the ball like he was early on, if he doesn't offer that, he doesn't offer much.

Bring in Dea who can only play in the back line and play Hunt on ball/wing. This is the answer for that run and carry style like early on in the season. Hunt is playing a different role now, that lock down small back which is hindering his run and carry that he can provide. Drop Newman for Dea who can seriously play.

Not on your own Machine Head, some of us think that a bloke who initially cost not a thing , has played every game & puts in every time he pulls on the jumper, is well worth 2 years
Yes he can turn it over a bit but name someone who doesnt
