Konrad Marshall sat down with talented small defender Jayden Short earlier this month to kick-off a new series of long-form features on current Tigers by the author of Yellow & Black - A Season with Richmond.

Any news about how weeks Short will miss with his dislocated elbow?

Richmond defender Jayden Short suffered a dislocated elbow and appears set for a prolonged stint on the sidelines.

Yep. Good game from him. Muffed a few kicks but generally provided good drive.

Short, however, made a seamless transition back into the line-up and played a valuable role in Richmond’s important win.

He had 22 disposals, including a game-high six rebound-50s, four inside-50s, 706 metres gained, and generated considerable drive for the team with his customary line-breaking run.

It’s his first game back after an extended period on the sidelines. A bit Harsh to talk down his game considering he did his job and contributed to us getting the 4points

I said he' game was ok but put it context as oppossed to people carrying like it was great game and he "didn't miss a beat" and  was "straight back to his line breaking best"....which is clearly hyped up bollocks... :shh

Yes - hope he gives up ten goals next week and costs us the game and the season so I can be proven right to a bunch of anonymous strangers on the internet... :shh :shh

Terry Wallace has identified one player from each side that he feels could be a surprise packet in the 2019 AFL finals series.

Richmond

Jayden Short

Didn't the media watch last year's finals. Short was found out.
