If we end up playing the Bulldogs, then the final will be at the 'G, even if it's the Dogs' home final.

Gil McLachlan told Neil Mitchell a clash with Adelaide was the only way the Bulldogs would be any chance of playing at their home ground in September.

The Bulldogs have won 10 of their 12 games at Etihad this season.

McLachlan said the league had looked at the "Melbourne" scenarios and said any final against Richmond would almost certainly be at the home of football.

If Collingwood beat the cats then we can no longer mathematically miss. So far looking good.

I still can't bring myself to hope for a Collingwood win.

Completely understand the feeling. I know them winning is a good thing, but I'm getting zero satisfaction from watching it.

At least this will mean one less bogey side we'll have to worry about in the finals.

Somehow i get the feeling that they wouldn't be our bogey side for much longer if they did make the finals.

They finish higher on the ladder, worse draft pick which sets us up to get Treloar
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Assuming swans beat saints I would think we would be cheering for north so we lock in a MCG game

An Etihad final would be a disaster

Yep absolutely a no way we would have to play at Etihad

The league want big crowds for the finals, guarantees us MCG finals in Melb

If we play at the G in the finals we want to hope it isn't raining. We are certainly useless in the wet.
