Is one o them,
The guy from the pre draft, mini draft?
If so must get him
Yeah ended up at the Crows through 1 of the mini drafts, cost them good picks too but I think they got something back when GWS stole Phil Davis.

Got dropped this week from a pretty vanilla midfield. Questionable attitude it seems as well.

Again like Prestia he's ok but I don't think he'll ever be an elite mid and if he comes here he'll be getting paid like an elite mid. I'm just not a fan of mids with limited upside who peak in their early years before people realise what they are.

Amusing to see people writing off Prestia after one poor third of a season in a crap side he doesn't want to play for.

Having said that, the real gold to be found is at GWS - more than half their NEAFL side would walk into our first 22 purely on talent.

Of course Hartley would overlook all of them and find another Townsend.... :gotigers

They also have to shed 600k worth of players this year to stay under the salary cap.

* Brad Crouch, North Ballarat, 12 January 1994, 184cm, 83kg
The hard-working midfielder ended the championships on crutches after suffering an ankle injury early in the fourth round clash against WA. The All Australian selectors had seen enough in three games to include him in the prestigious team thanks largely to his average disposal efficiency of 76 per cent a game.

The AFL Mini-Draft was a brainchild of the powers that be in order to allow Greater Western Sydney to recruit experienced players whilst giving up access to the best 17-year-olds in the country. The plan didn’t work as intended, with Adelaide, Melbourne and Gold Coast offering up draft picks as the expansion clubs stocked up on talented youth as opposed to experienced senior bodies. The four players chosen in Jaeger O’Meara, Brad Crouch, Jack Martin and Jesse Hogan, have all had their issues with injuries or discipline as they have entered into the AFL landscape. Coming into their third and fourth seasons respectively, the time has come to assess the players and determine who will be the best of the lot going forward.

Brad Crouch

Price: Pick 10 (Liam Sumner) Compensation pick first round (Toby Greene) for Crouch and Luke Brown

Brad Crouch was drafted out of North Ballarat with the second pick of the mini-draft and he has had a slow start to his career. Derailed by hamstring issues early in his first season, he came back strongly to finish the season as a dominant midfielder. Averaging 24.5 disposals, Crouch showed his aptitude to win possessions. Such was his finish to the season, he surpassed Oli Wines in the Rising Star voting to finish second behind O’Meara.

Crouch was ranked first amongst rookies for effective disposals per game, first for uncontested possessions per game and third for clearances per game. After his end to 2013, much was expected of Crouch coming into 2014. He again found himself in the treatment room to begin the season and fractured his leg in the Showdown in Round 2. He returned again later in the season and in a carbon copy of his rookie year, finished the year strongly racking up disposals.

In 2015, it was earmarked for Crouch to play a full season, but like fellow mini-draft Jaeger O’Meara, he succumbed to a persistent foot injury, restricting him to two SANFL games before experiencing more foot soreness and being sent in for surgery.

2016 now shapes as a crucial year for Brad Crouch, and with a new coach it has gotten off to a rocky with him disciplined for failing to meet club standards. Like O’Meara, his career seems to have stalled just as it appeared he was ready to elevate himself into the elite echelon.

Fair call ,I wouldn't write him off as well but his disposal at times this year has been on par with Taylor Hunts.  :chuck
Wind the clock back and he really looked a lot more dangerous with better disposal.
Having said that, the real gold to be found is at GWS - more than half their NEAFL side would walk into our first 22 purely on talent.
And the sad part is as they trade them out they just keep getting 1st roundersd handed back, can see this happening for the next 10 years too.

The Suns used a lot of their picks to lure established players where as the Giants did the opposite and went hard at the draft and no doubt took the right path.

Are they B.Ellis useless or better? Crouch I believe is a lot harder so I'd do a straight swap ;D

Boom youngster who has struggled due to injury to find the form he began his career with.If you could definitively say he is over that foot injury then
you would inquire for sure. Fits the bill for everything we should be targeting.

Tambling was pick 4 and I hear he's free. Cale Morton also

yes - there is always a risk with recycled players

however we are currently running hacks in the best 22 - grigg, morrs, hunt, ?bellis

if we are going to get recycled types its good if they are:
 - still young
 - former very high draft pick

Bloody hell we should be after this guy

Im not even surprised by those stats, he's a competitive beast and has big tank and would be at the top of my list  this trade period.

The lions twos would be pretty crap. 100 possessions in two games is pretty solid.

Thank god Carlton didn't get him.

Gws were given twice as much as Gold Coast... We should be sniffing around.

More talented ones than Townsend
