Any mention of BEllis being traded?
I could live with that.

Unfortunately not on the trade table. At least he is not aware of this.

From around the web:

Nankervis looks set to join Richmond during the trade period the deal likely to involve a trade of the tigers 3rd round pick.

Sydney are rumoured to have great interest in Richmond forward shane edwards with ben mcglynn set to retire.

Breaking news i have just had it confirmed to me rockliff will be at saints next year on a 4 year deal. Huge news.

Q. hi mate , have heard anything Yeo from WCE to Rich ,Toby Nankervis from Syd to Rich, Marley Williams from Collwood to Rich?

A. No, no, yes. I'll be harsh, RIC simply cannot afford to bring in more average footballers, which is what those 3 are.

1/2 So, here's what I can reveal: GC still fuming with JOM. As I've said, they initially asked for Gunston, knowing GC Haw would refuse...

2/2 A compromise appears to have been met, with GC requesting Isaac Smith and a future 1stRD pick. For the first time, HAW are considering.

Geelong are the latest club to show interest in Carlton defender Zach Tuohy, according to The Age's Jon Pierik.

Hawthorn are expected to accept a second-round selection from Fremantle for midfielder Bradley Hill, according to The Western Australian.

I recon there needs to be one rule from now on from the RFC come this time of year

IF A PLAYER ISNT AN A OR B GRADER OR HASNT SHOWN ENOUGH TO SHOW HE POTENTIALLY MIGHT BE, DO NOT GET.
Working on that one rule would have saved us 4 players straight away that are taking us nowhere.
Hampson, Hunt, Townsend and Moore. And that's being generous to others. Imagine 4 extra kids and what they might have been.

At our stage of the game we need to forget about drafting these types for depth. We have more than tried that. Every person we draft or trade for must be a or b grade or have the potential to be.

Drafting kids we will have our misses but draft enough of them sensibly and we will fill our side with enough talent to be able to beat the good teams on a consistent basis. Clubs have shown you don't need all first round picks to pick up gun players.

But it also works the other way- if we have guys on our list that aren't a or b graders and haven't shown enough to potentially be- delist or trade them too and don't wait to long to do so.
Names like Batchelor, Grigg, Houli, should all be gone IMO..

So that's 7 spots straight away for kids and maybe 1 or 2 A or B graders from other clubs.
Add the retirees and we turn over 10 players that most wouldn't loose a second of sleep over.

Yeo is far from average. That would be a huge get IMO.

we aren't that far off.... Bulldogs were a basket case two years ago and they just one a flag.

Our list isn't as bad as people make it out to be, its just not being used right, players aren't being made to work hard enough, the game plan sucks..

It can be turned around in 2-3 off seasons.

You really believe that? Another 2 years of Dudwick and we're more likely to be rattling tins again than playing in grand finals. Our best players will leave after being weighed down by a sole destroying game plan and culture.

Do you really think that Hardwick is going to persist with a game plan which clearly didn't work this year? and could potentially lose him his job if we have another poo year?  Do you have any idea how much pressure Hardwick is under next year?

Another poor year, he will be gone...heck half a poor year and he will be gone.

Hardwick is deluded and has been for years. Not confident that he'll change anything. His game plan is 5 years out of date and should have been changed after the Carlton loss in the final

I don't think he is deluded as some people think.

Stubborn as hell yes, but not deluded.

7 years is ample opportunity and he's a failure.

He did change it - to an even worse one....
