Cerra's currently experiencing a severe case of second year blues but will be a player...would take McIntosh and first round pick at least which I'd rather use for other things... :shh :shh

Stack will stay , may not have a choice re: Bolton :shh

Well the word I have heard over here in WA is that Bolton is very happy at the Tigers and wants to stay. He is hoping to get regular game time and if he does, that will seal the deal.

Yep.

Would be looking to sign up Balta quickly too. Could be anything.

Plus Ross and Baker (and Naish by the sound of things but need to wait for his debut)

So to sign up so many kids to long deals there will need to be some others squeezed out.

Grigg is the first.

Grigg would be on more than $200K per year surely?

I'm pretty sure Grigg signed a contract for this year only and with the pressure of Lynch coming in it wouldn't have been a huge deal so $2-250 would be around the mark I would think.

So does RFC have to pay that out upon Griggs retirement?

I doubt that they would pay out the entirety of the contract, both player and club would come to an agreement, but I’d say in all likelihood it’s upwards of 50% of the full amount.

Not sure how much his match payments were or what contributes to TPP and the cap.

Given its only a 1 year deal and we wont be added anyone other than a rookie who will be on the lowest possible wages, i would have thought we'd pay out his contract in full.

Considering he hasn’t played a game and it’s only round 8 I would doubt it. It’s still in our interest to keep the cap as low as possible as you can roll unders/overs into next season to balance it.

Bolton and Stack need to be signed to 3 or 4 year deals asap.

We have a rich history of signing up blokes to long term deals on the back of a small sample size of games where they have played well only for them to disappoint.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

9 marks (1 contested; 2 inside F50)
5 clearances (3 centre clearances)
2 first possessions
6 inside F50s
4 tackles
5 clangers
2 goals
2 goal assists
