Jack praising Bolts leadership qualities and his knowledge of structures.

Bolts thanked Xavier Clarke for his development into the midfield. Also learnt things from Sheds & Dusty.

I love that he knows how to use his speed and backs his agility to open things up for us. Too often we see athletes who are great down the line runners but you wonder why that pace can’t translate to damaging footy.

Bolton has amazing X factor and it’s ridiculous how he can evade out of trouble

I thought of Lids straight away when I read that.
Unbelievable pace but never really took players on with it IMO.

Don’t get me wrong, Lids was a star and one of my favourites for a long time, but he was happy to get the footy and get rid of it just as quickly.

It almost seemed he was scared to make a mistake/get caught breaking lines.

I reckon that’s what separates the good ones from the stars.

100%!!! I remember an interview actually that Cousins tried to make Lids more courageous. He mentioned that cousins and him watched footage in the offseason and cousins questioned him in that position as the fastest person on the field why didn’t you just run through them?

Lids remarked “yeah good point why didn’t I?” I think that sort of mentorship from cousins helped Lids take the game on more but I wish he did it more often.

I do actually like that both Bolton and Stack do back their pace and take the game on. I know stack has been off but I think we can agree if he recaptures his 2019 form our midfield would be off tap

3 marks
4 tackles
5 clearances … ( 2 in the centre )
3 inside 50s

Should be a priority signing. The no 1 signing priority fir Richmond. A 4 or 5 year contract should be on the table. He is A Grade now.

Those 3 HTB and the missed goal were a shame but I like seeing him take the game on.

If he shrugs a couple of those and kicks the goal he's one of the bog

Down a bit but like all of them did some really good things

Ill disciplined and got a fair bit of his possession on the outside of packs

What he’s done all year isn’t it?

Shai Bolton

A career-best season translated into finals. Had the goal of the finals series all but sewn up before the ARC showed it clipped the post. Plenty of the footy for him and he used it well.

Copping opposition attention now sometimes does to much needs to move it on.

Stunk it up for 3 quarters and put in a good last quarter so how did the journalist come up with 7?
