Depends on how he leaves. If we don't match the offer he signs with another club we'd get a pick compensation (likely mid-early first round).

If we DO match the offer we have to trade with the club he wants to go to - probably for something close to what we'd get as a pick compensation.

If we don't match it will be a pick after our first pick in the draft. If we match his offer and trade we would be mad to not ask for a similar early first rounder plus another decent pick or player

3.4 mill a year aint right Flash. Would put him as the highest paid player by at least 2.2 mill per year

DUSTY DEAL - IS IT REAL?

Hoping Dustin Martin will re-sign soon? Don't get your hopes up, Tiger fans.

That's the message from Tim Watson, who says he has good mail that Martin wants to hold off on talks about a new contract - despite reports that Richmond has tabled an offer worth about $800,000 a year.

"My information on that is that he will not sign until the end of the year. Forget about there being a signature anywhere for six months," Watson said on SEN.

"It’s not an unreasonable thing to do, to just wait and see how this season unfolds for him at Richmond."

But co-host Anthony Hudson says he is backing Martin to put pen to paper "within six weeks."
