Says a lot about North. 93 years in the comp and the can still only average 20k in a year they were vying for a top 8 spot until the last round or two.

Further evidence we're now the biggest club in the country?!

Collingwood is struggling to get a big crowd for their final against GWS compared to our full house last year.

A crowd of about 68,000 for #AFLPiesGiants? Where have all the Pies fans gone?

Where have all the Pies fans gone?

CHRIS CAVANAGH reports …

COLLINGWOOD’S hopes of creating a cauldron-like atmosphere at the MCG on Saturday night are not looking great, with the venue expecting a crowd of only 68,000 for the club’s semi-final against Greater Western Sydney.

GWS faced Richmond at the MCG in a preliminary final last year, with 94,258 fans attending that match, all but a few thousand supporting the yellow and black.

Giants co-captain Callan Ward said yesterday his team had learnt from that experience ahead of this weekend’s clash with the Magpies, saying it did have an impact in the 36-point loss.

“You have to use the energy for you, not against you when the crowd is getting involved and the opposition is up and about,” Ward said.

“To use it to your advantage is one thing, but really in every game, and especially finals, it’s about staying in the game longer, being harder and tougher for longer.”

What happened to the Hawks? Did many have to take their pets in to be put down this year?

Respect to Bomber fans for turning up in the their droves to boo their players
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Sorry but right now ...

Not nice to read when you're facing having to make that call on your 13 year old lab. :'(

It's OK just a bit sensitive about it right now.

Really tough time for our family

I'm getting my staffy cremated when she dies so I can have her ashes spread with mine when I die. The thought of being without her is dreadful!

Sorry WP <3

Poor Jonty  :(. Life is a real cruel prick in these situations. Take care, WP. All you can do is what you've always done and give him love.

Once it gets to that stage you already know in your heart of hearts what needs to be done
Easy for someone from the outside commenting on it , but delaying the inevitable is cruel if there is a lot of bad days

All the best with it WP, as a genuine dog lover, there is nothing worse
