Thuggier we are the better.

I remember Hawks beating the F out of North when the Roos thought they were hard. Lewis basically punched Goldstein in the face and Hodge just elbowed the crap out of Swallows head. Then they belted them by about 10 goals and the senior boys had a few weeks off before marching on to another flag.

Swallow looked sooky after the game and Hodge told him to harden the F up haha

... and no team was a bigger bunch of thugs than our back to back premiership sides of 73 & 74!  It was an absolute privilege to watch them belt the stuffing out of all comers with no mercy or remorse!     ;D
I was about 30 yards away from the infamous Windy Hill brawl when we (to a man) decided to hand it out properly.  Now THAT was some proper Tiger Tough Stuff!
Its a tough game (still) & always has been, to brand a side as thugs because somebody got pushed over is just childish.
To be called thugs is something we are damn proud of, the top side is the top side because when they flex some muscle everybody backs off!     :gotigers

Are @Richmond_FC okay with playing an interstate away game this week at the Gabba in Brisbane? Does Damian Hardwick hate going there too? #AFL

In 2019 Richmond played 9 of their last 10 games including the premiership deciding game at the MCG.

The dream fixtures they have been given is the reason they are not as respected as other multi-premiership teams.

Don’t forget the 2017 away qualifying final which they also played at home instead of in geelong

Why not in Hobart or Launceston? Tigers and certain other Vic teams have it easy.

You played 2 interstate teams at your home ground. How is that not a massive advantage?

True. If the Eagles played at home as much as Richmond or Collingwood they would have won at least 10 premierships

Outside of 2017, Dusty plays about 7 good games a season. He’s laughably inconsistent but everyone chooses to ignore this for some reason
Quote from: Russ2468
How will we rate Dusty’s season if Richmond finish 9th? There’ll be no finals to beef it up…

Dusty great in finals but home and away his average at best
Quote from: Jack James
Agree. Dusty is a pinch hitter. Bontempelli makes things happen

Someone post that meme again where people are deciding between dusty being overrated and Richmond being completely reliant on him depending on what better suits the narrative at the time....

Hasn’t dusty finished top 5/10 in bnf every single season bar 1?

Also if bont has been so consistently great why have the doggies played in 1 finals series where they got bounce in the first match since their flag in 2016?

As every Richmond supporter knows the answer to your question is because Dusty has higher skill and committed teammates....nah his mates around him
