Dusty was awesome at 19 lol.

Averaged 20 disposals, 3.5 tackles and 0.5 goals in his debut season.

Even Daicos this year has averaged only higher possessions but less goals and tackles, despite being the best first year player I've seen since...I dunno, Dusty?

Also what the heck do they think Townsend should have been penalised for with that tackle? Haha

Dusty was a jet from the very first season! He gave Scott Thompson a don’t argue as a teenager! Not to mention kicking goals!

The problem is though certain umpires are clearly on the pay role of Richmond. The keep the total free kick down but with how many bad calls are made in Richmond's favour and in a scoring area I'd a joke. This was the correct call. Shouldn't of been given a goal.

Sook harder, Hardwick. Lol you've had MORE than your fair share of calls go your way this season!

It won’t get done. Personally I think Taranto doesn’t get to Richmond…I think he’ll have to find somewhere else.

Hopefully the Bombers
Quote from: darkknightpheonix
you also have to laugh at the fact the more the afl does to try and even the comp, the more it just ends up favouring the teams that are in their success window.

how can a side that won 3 out of the 4 comps 2 years ago be able to afford 2 highly rated players, and geelong will continue to get highly rated players.

gotta love it.
Quote from: millagurnzie1
Taranto and Hopper ain’t that good…plus they’re basically the same player. They’ll get in each-others way
Quote from: millagurnzie1
They’re not worth what Richmond are going to have to pay (like Essendon with Shiel)
Quote from: Clark_Griswold
I’ve tried to think through which players are now redundant at Richmond…Dow, RCD, Ross, Graham???..I can’t say I’m interested in any of them.

When are we going to have our time??

When is it Essendon’s time??

Conversely, Richmond are way overhyped and will struggle to make the 8. Yesterday's heroes, who took advantage of the weakest era in the history of the AFL (credit to them for doing so) are done.

Richmond are full of excuses and a very negative culture set by the coach. Theretime is over.

Meanwhile the Tigs traded out of multiple drafts for some B-grade GWS off-casts - you'd be crossing everything you don't bundle it for a third straight year - it's now or never.

Taranto and Hopper B grade lol.

They were mad keen on Hopper until he flipped them the bird!

Love the salt.

Richmond could afford the luxury of countering and changing how the 'status quo' were playing. There were no teams of genuine quality around to come up with answers.
The one team that showed they could do so was Collingwood. Strangely enough, the same team who tried to stand up to Brisbane during their glory days and Geelong throughout 08-11.

Richmond are not a dynasty at all. They were a great team no different to North Melbourne or Adelaide of the late 90's.

A dynasty is a team who can stand the test of time. Brisbane were playing finals every year from 1998-2004. Geelong played finals every year from 2007-2014. Hawthorn were playing finals every year 2010-2016.

Richmond were up from 2017-2020*. They were back again in 2022 and quickly exited in the opening week (likely never to be seen again for years on end).

Quote from: catscollector
2011 Collingwood would have beaten any one of the Richmond GF teams. They actually had legit taggers and excellent mid sized defenders to curtail the likes of Martin & Bolton.
Superior ruck stocks to anything Richmond faced versus a washed up Mumford or a Rhys Stanley.

Only area they would have struggled was key post. Lynch and Riewoldt would have had their way but at the same time, there's a reason why Collingwood averaged 117 points per game and only 70 points against.

the criteria for a dynasty is a 3peat

its true because i said so

do not mention richmond in the same category as brisbane 01-03 or hawthorn 13-15. you are not a dynasty
