Who is getting the chop?
« on: September 24, 2018, 08:11:47 PM »
Ben Griffiths, Hammer time no more, Drummond, Cellis
Miles, Lloyd possible trades
Bolton? Soldo? Moore Conca???

Thoughts now the dust is settling?
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Stengel and Chol will be on our list next season, pretty confident.

Stengle thinking about leaving for the Crows and I've been advised Chols future is not secure ATM.

My view - remembering we must delist minimum of 3

Hampson (retire)
Griffiths (retire)
Drummond (delist)
Miles (trade)
C Ellis (trade)
Menadue (trade)
Stengle (trade)

Also think with Lynch coming - Moore and Choi lucky to survive (if they do)

He hasn't played 1 bad game for RFC, great return on 600k a year. How many years has he got to go?

You’re right, he can hold his head up high.

Trade all of the following:
B Ellis
C Ellis
Conca

And the following decent players/good blokes purely because we're stuffing up their careers since they can't get a game over the likes of garbage like Ellis's/Menadue/Conca
S Lloyd
Miles

I honestly don't even care what we get. 2nd round picks is great, otherwise just take a steak knife or two for things we need - like a better backup ruckman than Soldo FFS.

De-list:
Menadue (pee weak POS, gone backwards)
Dummond (made out of paper, get rid of him this isn't a stuffing charity)
Chol (sorry but he's poo, you just can't teach some people to play this game, they have it or they don't)

Also open-minded about 1-2 of the following being traded:
Bolton
Stengle
Castagna
Butler

And I am open-minded about trading:
Broad (purely because I think Garthwaite has more upside)

Seems everyone's turned on Chol on the back of his poor final which was his first match in a couple of months - was tracking nicely before his injury,... :shh

What we know so far:

Gone
Griffiths (retired)
Hampson (retired)
Miles (to be traded to the Gold Coast)
C.Ellis (to be traded to the Gold Coast)

Possibly gone
Drummond (likely to be delisted due to injury)
Conca (3 year deal offered by Fremantle)
B.Ellis (rumour: has toured North Melbourne & offered 4-year deal)
Stengle (3 year deal offered by Adelaide)

Linked to other clubs
Lloyd (Dogs interested apparently but word is he wants to stay)
Townsend (Suns rumouredly interested according to the media but I'd doubt we'd want to cut the list too deeply if others above go)

What's the situation regarding Menadue? At this rate we won't need to delist anyone.... :shh

Need some players left to delist and.some to trade in 2019...Grigg & Houli should go.......wouldn't be surprised if we offer up at least one of our mosquito fleet (who isn't named Rioli) next year too.....:shh :shh

....and the year after we're going to have to match a bid for Junior....and probably Dwyer as well.... EDIT: and Xavier Naish.....:shh :shh :shh

EDIT II : Think Naish might be next year....

How did Junior go this year?
