A Dangerfield type in 2022 but unlike Danger he can hit a target that's not in row G of the stands  :shh.

Predicting the 10 breakout players of 2022

Which emerging youngster will you be keeping an eye on next year?

Riley Collier-Dawkins

Collier-Dawkins has been a project player for the Tigers, having waited in the wings until his third season before making his AFL debut in 2021.

The 21-year-old's patience paid off however, amassing strong numbers around the centre of the ground as a promising two-way onballer and showing his place as an heir to the Tigers' midfield.

Now entering his fourth year, Collier-Dawkins is sure to have his sights set on securing his place higher up on Damien Hardwick's midfield pecking order, with the likes of Trent Cotchin, Shane Edwards and Kane Lambert soon to be stepping aside for the next wave.

Sooo...he's not that good then?

Should be played forward imo.

That tweet fits in with what I've heard. The coaching staff see RCD replacing Cotch in his role. Leave it to others to be the transitional mids (eg: Prestia & Lambert).

Pardon my ignorance but why wouldn’t the coaches want someone as big as RCD to smash packs like Fyfe or pre injury Cripps?

A bust and a dud Delist!

If I was still slightly hopeful for him, after watching today I’ve lost all hope. Rubbish selection in hindsight.

Or our development is severely lacking like it did in the dark years.

Hopefully the club seeks to reinvest in recruiting and development so we don’t waste our time with players that just don’t have it.

For those that dislike Aarts they should watch this kid and Aarts doesn’t look half bad in comparison.

I never said he was the worse player.

What I am saying is that he isn’t going to be the midfield hope we expected.
Unless he all of a sudden becomes a better player.

He's a bust and we all know it. As a mid. I'd still like to see him played forward.

Very few players spend 3 years in the seconds and come good.

Heck even Jack Higgins showed more in his debut year.

Fair enough and your probably right but hasn’t RCD been there for longer than the other two?

RCD 21 disposals with 4 or 5 clearances and some tackles
Thats ok compared to some others.

From what I saw today he is way off maybe it was just a bad day from him but he was very poor.

You’ll say others were poorer but I wasn’t watching anyone else to be honest although Sonsie and Mansell did look lively and interested all game and probably Cumberland too but not many else.

Anyway I was just watching RCD to be honest and wanted to see if he is as good as everyone is saying but I still can’t see it.

I truely hope he proves me completely wrong and I look stupid again as I have many times before because we really need him to step up.
