The AFL website says we're interested in Bianco.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Bianco never really hit a flat patch throughout 2019. Early in the year he picked up 42 disposals for the Chargers, and then at the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships he was shifted to half-back for Vic Metro.

He averaged 18 disposals in four games and grew into the carnival, using his brilliant vision to set up the game from the back half. After the carnival he returned to lead the Chargers, finishing the season averaging 27 disposals and as the skipper of their premiership team.

"I like to get up and down the ground and use my running as a strength," he said.

"I was always a midfielder growing up. The last few years I've played down back, but I'd much rather be up around the ball. That's where I prefer to play for sure, it's where I think I can impact more and help the team."

It's where Bianco shone in the Chargers' finals series – a relatively hard task in itself, given some of the company he kept throughout the year.

Playing in the same team – and midfield – as likely top-two picks Matt Rowell and Noah Anderson means it is easy to go a little unnoticed. Bianco made sure that didn't happen in the final month of his season though.

He started his campaign with 24 disposals and a goal in the qualifying final, before 27 touches and five inside 50s in the preliminary final.

Then, in the Grand Final win over the Eastern Ranges, Bianco gathered 29 disposals and 10 marks to lead his side to a premiership win, a year after he played in Oakleigh's Grand Final loss to Dandenong.

"It's an honour to captain such a talented and good group. It was an unreal feeling when that siren went and everyone got together. It was such a relief in potentially our last game of junior footy. To hold up that cup was special," he said.

Bianco's ball use throughout the finals stood out, using both his preferred right foot and non-preferred left to spot targets, open up space, deliver to teammates and make things happen. The 178cm prospect only needs a look, or a flash in the corner of his eye, to make the right call with the ball in his hands.

It's why the likes of Richmond, Gold Coast, Port Adelaide and Geelong have all been linked to Bianco in the first 20 picks on draft night.

From reading, I like the sound/size of:

Harry Schoenberg (inside mid)

Jake Riccardi (KPF)

Emerson Jeka (KPD)

Fraser Phillips (med FWD)

Sam Philp (inside mid)

Darcy Chirgwin (inside mid)

For me we need KP kids coming through.
Probably more so a defender but definitely both.

At present Garthwaite is about it for KPD and I don’t think he is any good.

Is there any decent KP kids at our first pick?

Possibly Will Gould at 19. Only 192cm tall but quite a unit at 106kg. Would need to trim down big time.

Of the blokes I mentioned I reckon Harry Schoenberg could be gone by our first pick anyway.

Elsewise, drafting on a need/depth basis:
Jake Riccardi (KPF) is listed at 194/96. Pick 38.
Emerson Jeka (KPD) is listed at 198/90. Pick 39.
Sam Philp (In Mid) is listed at 186/79 or Fraser Phillips (Mid FWD) is listed at 187/72. Pick 41.
Darcy Chirgwin (In Mid) is listed at 191/80. Pick 56 if he slips that far.

Picks 75, 77 and 95 are probably for rookie elevations you'd think.

Nothing about us but this article looks at who may go before our first pick and to which club. It gives us an idea of which kids will be stillavailable at our pick.

Why aren't we interested in Tom Green son of Michael 4 times Richmond premiership player? He has to be a good father son option and a replacement for Cotch when he retires

We probably are but he belings to GWS academy. We dont have the picks for them to trade. Our best shot is to get him in 2 or 3 years.

Our best bet is hope Melbourne bids on Green at 3 then the Giants trade down the order where we might be able to step into pick 6.  We would have to give up next years first and this years first plus probably more using our 3rd rounders. Not sure how that actually works with points.  At pick 6 I would take Devon Robertson or Brodie Kemp
Can someone tell me if this is actually a live possibility or tell me I'm dreamin

With MJ , Dwyer & Baxter (Academy) all due I can't see us trading next year's first or any of next year's picks that that matter, probably need every one of them plus a few more via trades, in fact I could even see us trading some of this year's picks for next year's,...forget about trading for any pick lower than our current first rounder, we simply don't have the currency (thanks again AFL and your little purple parrot)...as I've said, our most realistic option is trading for another pick in the 20's or low 30's and even that looks highly unlikely at this stage... :shh
