Andrew McQualter says Dow played his best game at AFL level today.

He will provide nothing to our onfield fortunes, much like his brother at carlton. I Would trade

By the way how many clangers today?  He would have had a few from what i saw.

His [Dow's] ability to consistently win the ball at the coalface and distribute it to teammates, against such quality opposition on the day, prompted plenty of praise post-match from interim Richmond coach Andrew McQualter.

“I thought that was Thomson’s best game probably he’s played at our footy club,” McQualter said.

“Port’s midfield are so dynamic and I thought Thomson really matched them in that space.

“He’s done it pretty hard over the last three or four years, Thomson. Hasn’t been able to crack many games.

“But he’s certainly put himself up in the spotlight the last month or so.”

He does turn the ball over but he wins his own footy. That’s important.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Take a third rounder for him and run. Offload list cloggers like him two or three times and you have some currency in the draft.

Don't dislike the idea of keeping him, just wondering what his likelihood is of cementing a spot

Keep saying it a third rounder for Dow and a couple of others just like him and you have the currency to trade to GCS for their first rounder so they can get their acadamy kids over the line.

I keep hearing our recruiting and list management is so good so why would you not do it.
First rounder or a skinny underwhelming slow one sided poor kick along with poos his pants ralphy  and say 6 yrs in Miller who has done nothing. What is there to think about. We need to get Quality into the team and we need to make calls on what are likely only to be foot soldiers at best.

We are absolutely kidding ourselves if don't think we need to get young quality into our club.

Apparently we are fine claw. Don't need to get descent draft picks, as we have the talent already  :shh
