Twitter all a flutter saying Saad wants out of the Bombers

Tom Morris from Fox Footy reporting it as well
"Oh yes I am a dreamer, I still see us flying high!"

Essendon defender Adam Saad has told the club he wishes to be traded to Carlton. Sources confirmed that he wanted to cross to Carlton on a five-year deal.

Essendon defender Martin Gleeson is believed to be “more than open” to a move away from Tullamarine after falling out-of-favour with the Bombers in 2020.

Lewis Jetta could be on the outs at West Coast after the speedy midfielder managed only six games in 2020.

Melbourne midfielder Jack Viney has agreed to a new deal with the Demons that will see him remain with the club and not enter free agency.

$800k over 5 years for Saad is something we were never going to offer for a half-back flanker. That's equivalent to Lynch's contract who is a big key forward.

Good luck Carlton dealing with Dodoro. Waits for Dodoro to come out and demand two top 10 picks for Saad  :lol.

We should take Goldy for 1 year. Tell him he's a smoky for a flag. Big club. Cheap money as backup.

He is contracted and is one of N0rts highest paid players

Not sure that classify as cheap  ;D

But apparently up for grabs.

Should see if North will pay part of his salary.

Joe Daniher has selected Brisbane as the club he wishes to play for in 2021.

Zach Merrett has also made it clear to both the club and his management that he's not overly happy at Essendon.

North Melbourne veteran Shaun Higgins is almost certain to join Geelong, according to Herald Sun reporter Jon Ralph.

Port Adelaide's Ollie Wines has given his strongest indication yet that he’s staying put at the club, despite persistent whispers linking him to Victoria.

Same BF snout I mentioned in the Markov thread also says we're looking at Charlie Constable but reckons he's more likely to stay at Sleepy Hollow..hope so...with him & Brodie apparently in our sights it sounds like we're just targeting any big bodied mid that we think we can get on the cheap and just for the sake if it ...surely better off just sticking with RCD & Ross, hate to see either of them leave to accommodate those duds.... :thumbsdown

Dealing with dopey Dodoro and his ego with a contracted Bomber is a nightmare. He'll ask for something ridiculous like our first pick plus Dusty for Merrett just to appear 'tough' ::) and hold up the whole trade period  ::) for other deals we'd be looking at.

Going to be a few Bombers reconsidering now. The like of Shiel and Smith left GWS because Daniher was one of those who convinced them to go to Tullamarine lol.

Sam Edmund just said Merrett is contracted so will probably stay but other clubs will come hunting this time next year when he is out of contract.

Why? Can't say I'm too keen.

Don't think many cats fans would miss him either.

Why would we go after Narkle when we are getting Rioli, how many small forwards do we need?

Rumour started by his manager maybe?

Yeah but Rioli - inconsistent as he may be-  is our currently only small forward with any real AFL-level talent and match-winning ability... :shh

Btw, Clayton Oliver now being linked to us on the BF trades board.... :shh :shh
