Umpired like the fix was in..we don't help ourselves and our skills are woeful..but you can see it's effecting the players confidence and they're second guessing themselves a lot because they're worried about giving away frees and are not getting rewarded the other way.....time for the club to just cop the fine....ffs The Scum & the Filth publicly demand please explains after one game..... :shh

Yeah it seems like we get reamed but we are also super undisciplined as we have been for a number of years now and we don’t tackle at all so don’t get as many frees.

Nankervis & Pickett the worst offenders...with Grimes not far behind  and we give away far to many head highs due to poor technique  -t he tackling on the whole's a disgrace but  jeez we can't seem buy a htb even when they're a plain as day while our opponents win them for blatant high tackles or after out blokes take barely half a step...but still as has already been pointed out numerous times,  it's more the frees we don't get then the frees we give away.... :banghead

Yes, Dow dropped the ball once the siren sounded. He needed to hand it to the Freo ruck as it was a free to him just prior.

Appeared to be holding infringement by Nank in the ruck and then not returning the ball by Dow.
BS freekick and just typical to how we get bent over....

Yeah he should've just booted the ball into the stand and then common sense could have prevailed.

As most know and I've copped a fair few whacks along the way I rarely complain about the umpires.

But today's umpiring display was the worst I can remember in a very long time

It isn't about what the opposition get gifted but more about what we don't get. In the 3rd and 4th the nu,ber of non holding the ball decisions we didn't get was pathetic

The 50 at the end of the 2nd was terrible but the actual free was shocking

"Oh yes I am a dreamer, I still see us flying high!"

Considering the AFL is a multi million if not billion dollar industry, we still have under paid and to be fair poor quality umpires. Along with the shocking score review system in place, surely the AFL should be spending more money in this area. Some of the decisions we have seen across the league this year have been shocking, from balls out of bounds, score reviews that aren't required and of course the obvious missed calls that all can see. These missed calls can turn a game, and especially when there is betting agencies involved, this continued ignorance should not continue as it is more than just a game these days.
Train the umps correctly, pay them more and penalise poor mistakes and missed calls so that they learn not to make them again.
Sorry for the rant...I didn't expect to actually write this much. I just get sick of having things not paid to us that the other teams get in the same game. We dont lose games due to these calls but it can definitely change a specific play.
Anyways....there's always next week

Look out ...even Slobbo's noticing.....

Quote
4. THE UMPIRING AT THE MCG ON SUNDAY

Richmond supporters were livid. They had every right to be. The free kick count was 20-11, but that wasn’t the problem. The problem was the number of free kicks umpires didn’t pay when it appeared the Tigers had earnt them. Time and again, the Tigers would lay a tackle and not be rewarded for incorrect disposal. Salt was added to the wound when the Dockers, at times, received free kicks for incorrect disposal by the Tigers. Once again, confusion reigned about what exactly is prior opportunity. The more cynical Tigers supporter would say ‘what’s new’. Over the past five years, Richmond’s differential between free kicks for and free kicks against is -332. The next worst side is Hawthorn on -108. How can that properly be explained? Is there a vendetta? Or are the Tigers just sloppy or too aggressive with their tackling? If this was politics, a Royal Commission would be demanded. And if this was politics, we’d love Tigers officials to have parliamentary privilege so we could hear what they really think.

.....and managed to prick up Red Rohan's ears....(though guessing a Freo win wasn't good for the Bumblers if these two jokers are arcing up)

No doubt Shill Wimpley will put Slobbo back in his box tommorrow night on 360........ :shh
