Bloody hell, if we can't smash the bottom two at home we don't deserve to be in Brazil.

Im expecting easy wins.
The Aussies lost to Jordan 1-2 in Amman last year. So while we'll be favourites at home, it's no gimme. We defended well against Japan and the team we put out there finally had a good balance but it's still a concern we struggle to create enough proper decent scoring opportunities and that we give away dumb goals when we shouldn't. If it wasn't for Oar's flukey half-cross that floated in we would've went scoreless again. Unlike Japan, Jordan will sit back with numbers behind the ball so the Socceroos will have to break down their defence with quick ball movement while at the same time not stupidly getting caught by a sucker punch on the counter.

A total and utter one-sided flogging. Aussies win 4-0 :thumbsup.

Robbie Kruse was brilliant and continually just sliced Jordan open with his runs.

Minus a disaster against Iraq who are on the bottom of the group, the Socceroos are off to the World Cup.

Japan beat Iraq in the later game 1-0. So Iraq can't qualify now which is good news for the Socceroos as this will mean Iraq will have nothing to play for in the final match in Sydney.

Group B

Japan        8    5    2    1    16    5    +11    17 ................. Qualified

Its a must win game tonight. If we lose and Oman wins they can jump us in the group standings.

0-0 at half-time against a visiting Iraq youth team  :P. Holger needs to give the Socceroos a rocket during the break.

Kennedy scoring would of shutted up Cahill. He wasn't happy when he got subbed.
