That Timmy Cahill goal was pretty special.  :cheers :cheers :o :o
How good was that! :bow  :bow  :bow

A shame that with that yellow card (nice shirtfront Timmy :lol ) this may be his last World Cup game.

Credit to Ange as well. He's really done his homework on the Dutch and got the team playing to his plan of putting pressure on the Dutch back 3 and not allowing them cut through passes out of defence. The only times we've looked in danger is when we've turned the ball over in defensive midfield and been caught short of numbers backtracking defensively. That's how Robben scored. A lesson in being defensively alert even when you have the ball.

What a tackle!

Went thou the prick like a steam train

Told yas we'd handle ourselves well and not get embarrassed  :cheers

Shattered in that all 3 goals we copped were dumb - the first was a bad pass from Bresc, the second Davidson made a school boy error and the 3rd was Ryans stuff up. So proud of how they played - we've got some poo luck with injuries yet we are still performing - if Ange had had another 6 months we'd have bloody well made it through this group.

Leckie and davidson have stepped up - Cahill is the greatest socceroo ever (even if hes not the most gifted(Harry Kewell) hes our greatest), Spira is going to be a real player, Halloran showed a bit and should start over Oar - Bozanic I liked what I saw

That was Magic OE. great find.  :thumbsup

At least the FIFA Fascists can't take it off the air as a violation of their broadcast rights like they have done for nearly every youtube video of Tim Cahill's Goal.  :scream

back home and what an unbelievable experience it was.

We left the day after the Dutch game and i was spent after that day. The most amazing build up and no matter how many other games you see including the other Germany Portugal one i saw nothing compares to your own country in a world cup, and to see such a great game like that. Incredible.

Whilst Russia may not be a pure soccer country like your Brasil's, Argentinas, Italy etc etc i urge you if you can to go and follow the Aussies or at least fly over from your native greece or italy and pinch a game or 2, do it i know i will be.

One of the best sporting days i've had in my life

Go to Brazilto get sway from tigers being shyte

Coo it for sAustralia being shyte

Poor bugger

negative mate.

we showed more heart than the RFC have showed in 30 years. Nothing but admiration for those blokes. The dutch were on the ropes in the first.

Cahill, Leckie, Bresch vrs Hampson, Edwards and A Edwards, you do the math.

Copacabana beach. When Brasil are playing its a public holiday and its one big party for hundreds and hundreds of metres. You cant move unless you get in 3 hours earlier.

We had contingencies in place in the event they lost that game against Mexico, like run and run fast with 5 minutes to go.

The place was safe as houses i never saw no sign of trouble. That being said if Brasil lose and lose early in the cup i wouldnt want to be there. Now that i am home i hope they lose and Germany pull it off with Colombia as an upset. Outside of those guys i hope its a European winner, something i think has never happened in a cup played in that sth america.
