Ffffffffff what a rocket from Rogic. Keeper got a tip but those sorts of hits are unstoppable.

just need to scrape through, but gee this is an average side lets be honest.

Milligan is a massive loss in this formation. McGowan a total liability tonight. I know Ange wanted to go in aggressive because we have to win but there is no way Socceroos could play this formation at WC level. Could have just as much gone in with a 442 diamond since we're playing narrow anyway, Smith and Leckie can still run the wings and we would be less vulnerable on the counter. Mooy and Jedinak are way too deep to start play.

That missed pen could be big given the last two games might come down to goal difference.

On the bright side, 3 goals from open play.  :cheers we've struggled scoring all qualifying. You could tell a lot of the players haven't been playing so with any luck the confederations cup will be a good tune up to finish strong.

Geez take the 3 points and run - we are in a rut atm and playing like poo. I know we dont have top end talents but we're capable of playing a lot better than that. Ange's 3-4-3 will get fisted by a half decent side. Im actually hoping we cop a few hammerings when we play brazil and then the confederations cup, to give us a kick up the arse and to let Ange know we should shelve this formation before we blow qualification.

A couple of things - McGowan is no good, Degenek is no good, Jedinak is no good and would prefer Milligan anchoring the midfield or even play Milligan at the back with sainsbury and let Mooy anchor the midfield on his own, Jedinak cramped his style.

Have to admit Kruse looked sharp when he came on, Rogic and Irvine will continue to get better. Expecting Leckie who is a fwd to play as a wingback is just wrong on so many levels, actually disappointed with Anges tactics here, imo his whole setup of this tactic is wrong. He spreads the 3 man backline too much and has forwards playing as wingbacks getting into the wrong positions which is leaving holes in midfield which is being exploited.

Got some issues..

Spot on TM. I don't mind Degenek just not that role in that formation. Needs support, Milligan is a rock. Hertha Berlin have stated they plan to play Leckie as a wing back so I don't know if that had any influence on Ange. Will be good for Leckie to go to a side like Hertha though. Regularly top 6 in Bundesliga and we could do with a few with that sort of exposure.

Ate my hat when Kruse came on. Had some nice moves around the box and probably unlucky that Behich wasn't awake when he put one across the face.

Gersbach replacing Brad Smith in Confederations squad. Should have been in anyway, too many guys in the team based on their club despite have not been playing regular minutes.
