Tambling was good tonight despite you knockers, he was very clean in the congestion and was clean where a lot of others would muff it, watch the replay...

The idea of playing Jack down back for a while has merit. He wouldn't be the first young forward sent down back to learn first hand how the the top forwards go about it. The only problem is who, right now at this point in time, do you replace him with in the forward line? With Mortin playing as a go to in the forward line we are currently short on cattle up front.

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

we saw the same game, i just dont understand why evryone knocks him down just cos he isnt a 30 plus possession game player
his game will get praise from dimma, in congestion he was our best, and nimble and never flinched after each hit

ppl just love to bag him for no reason at all.

Agree guys thought he was ok. 3 times I remember him going in head first to the footy and was reqrded with a free kick. Sorry 2 was rewarded and was was awarded to Cooney as they clashed heads.. head high contact.. :banghead

Tambling was ok he's a Varcoe, Yarran type player. Why does everyone think a midfielder in the top 10 should be a Chris Judd.

Hes servicable in a bad side. He'll be better when we improve. We have to much cream and no crop.

We should have drafted talls first let them develop and then draft smalls whoa re ready made. We've done it backwards with classy mids first and then talls now. Saints drafted Kossie and Riewoldt first and Hawks drafted Buddy and Roughead first.

Cant believe the knocks on young jack with only 50 games playing the role of No 1 KPF when he should be the No 2 or 3 hit up forward.

Bump

Wonder where his detractors have been hiding the last few weeks.

Apart from that one bad game young Jack is deadset carrying our goal scoring on his own 21 year old back.

What about that mark in the last qtr beating three dawks.

exactly.

Jack R will be a gun.

The only thing i dont like is that constant jumping up for the speccy. e.g Schulz. Cut it out Jack.

Aside from that the perfect game and once we find a key forward or 2 he will be a gem

On track for a 50+ goal season (currently 2.4 goals per game)

If he manages to reach that then his career annual tally will be 7, 18, 35 & 50ish goals, so showing constant improvement which is great

He was good today but his second efforts are crap.  Slow as a wet week. took some nice grabs and kicked some goals so that is ok, but he is still a lazy plodder.

Kicked straight this week 4.1.  Made a world of difference to his game and to the team.

Yep as the number one fwd at the club that's great by him. Shame Morton is currently struggling. Would have made a world of difference to the side which is why Griffiths and one of Vickery or Post need to have their development fast tracked to help out to ease the burden and create a fwd line with more options and thus more unpredictable.

Sorry CR but i'll have to disagree! You miss his smother? I think he chased a guy down in the last too but was not rewarded?! (Forward flank, great southern stand side). Jacks second efforts were a lot better today!

Argh yes another example of the "Death of the Perfect Tackle" - cowardly umpiring by one Scott McLaren
