Broken thumb apparently thanks to a kicking in danger by Grant  ::). Plough reckons 4-6 weeks out.

lost my respect shannon grant has.

Thought he was a terrific guy but then to pull out this crap and do something kids are taught from Auskick not to do.  :banghead

At least this gives lids a chance to see the match from the coaches box

Tigers' season gets worse, Deledio out for six weeks
Michael Gleeson | July 9, 2007 | The Age

RICHMOND'S disastrous season, which appears likely to end in a wooden spoon, suffered a further blow yesterday when emerging star Brett Deledio broke his hand.

The Tigers lost the match to the Kangaroos by 25 points, but of more significance was Deledio's injury, which it is feared will keep him out for a minimum of four to six weeks.

Deledio, the former No. 1 draft pick, was hurt when Kangaroo Shannon Grant tried to soccer a ball off the ground while Deledio's hands were on it. He sat out the rest of the game with his hand in an ice-pack.

ohhhhh well ... we don't need more injuries to our young kids ...

but Deledio hasn't preformed lately ... so for him to sit back and have a rest should make him hungry more ...

what is the point in coming back round 20 ??? have the season off ... and get ready for 2008 ... get bigger

and start playing in the midfield ...

The match review panel didn't look at Grant's kicking in danger.

Round 15 next week.
Miss 4-6 weeks.
Why on earth would they bring him back for 1 or 2 games.
Thats what i call bad list management.
The kid is twenty, let him have the rest of the season off

Will they bring him back if Lids is out 6 weeks? Agree it would be stupid to come back just for one game. 4 weeks out would mean there's still a month of footy to go.

does anyone have the details of his injury or do we just know it is a broken hand.

ie is a broken thumb etc.

And gee whiz, saw the replay today and feel for him, going in for the hardball and cops this kind of poo from another player  :banghead

Sorry Jack but you are joking aren't you ???

xXx is right they haven't said they'll bring him back just that he is out for 4-6 weeks which based on where the break is is normal for the injury.

why dont the tigers just fess up and say sugar never ever had a broken hand but a pulled heart muscle!

Sorry to disappoint you xXx but I can assure you that Johnson did have broken hand and is still suffering the effects of it

in that case wp, sugar should be rested and let his hand heal, he is not doing the club or himself any favours by being out there.
he says he is out there because we lack leadership, well he must be joking cos he shows absolutely no leadership, and a hairline fracture in his hand 1mm long should not interfere with his poor kicking
