Kingsley retired too soon  :lol.

From the Saints forum:
Quote
I reckon Kent Kingsley is the type of player needed as a forward. Pettifer will cost too much and is probably holding out Kingsley at Richmond.

Kent Kingsley is a very good player. Has been unlucky not to get too many games with the bottom side this season. Maybe 2nd or 3rd pick or even just a straight swap with someone like Milne or Baker.

Now in all honesty, why would you want to trade Petts for an unknown quantity???

just an opinion that richmond needs to try and fill a bigger need, ie. a key position need.

We don't have the mid-late twentysomething KPPs to trade that Hawthorn and Collingwood did to score early picks in a direct swap. There's only Richo who's too old to trade and then a massive gap to Sarge who's 22. Other clubs won't give us a top 10 pick for Petts yet we get shafted if we let go of Petts as well as give up either pick 18 or 19.

On the news tonight it said the doggies had a secret meeting with Fevola's manager last night to try and lure him over but they baulked at his asking price and aren't willing to trade pick 5.

Kidding surely?   :-\

Should be happy with base $400,000-450,000 with performance based to go higher.

But jeepers $700000 off the bat for a bloke who regularly gives up?  :shh

On the other hand I love to see the doggies pay that amount.  ;D

Agree tigersalive it's a ridiculous amount of dough but that's what the news reported. If you were the Blues you'd offload Fev. Imagine them having picks 1, 3 and 5. Kreuzer, Morton and one of Masten, Palmer, Ebert or McEvoy. Set their midfield up for the next 10 years next to Murphy and Gibbs.

Speaking of asking for $$$ the news also said Heath Scotland is asking for $400k in his new deal.

The latest silly rumour of the week is the Eagles can't afford to keep both Judd and Kerr under their salary cap and one has to go. We can only dream of one of them walking into Punt Rd via the PSD.

According the papers this morning, the Crows are after a tall forward as well as a small forward. Schulz?

Didak is the small forward they are after as it's rumoured he wants to return to SA. The Crows are willing to offer McGregor, Perrie and Meesen as trades. Craig said it was useless picking up youngsters and not be sure if they would be good enough for the AFL.

The Doggies are interested in McGregor and have offered Russell Robertson a 3-year deal to move.

Sydney are frontrunners for Cat Kane Tenace who is out of contract.

Darren Jolly has given his manager no indication he wants to leave the Swans. Michael Quinlan said yesterday the only club with which he was negotiating for Jolly was the Swans. Jolly's contract expires at the end of next month. The financial strains of raising a young family in Sydney are believed to be a concern for Jolly and, with at least six Melbourne clubs in the market for a ruckman, a return "home" has been mooted.

[/quote]That is why I think three or four picks at the most is enough from the PSD.

They are an unknown quantity at AFL level!
