The latest rumour doing the traps in Dogs give up pick 5 for Fevola and the Blues then ontrade pick 5 with pick 3 (plus maybe a player) to the Eagles for Judd.

Now that's great  - really ;D

Ratten's been coach for how many weeks  :-\ and he said when he was appointed "Fev would not be traded while I'm coach" :wallywink Good one Brett ;D

That sounds like a fair deal all round.

There's all this talk about Dick Pratt and his money which would guarantee Carlton gets Judd but how would that affect Carlton's salary cap?

Good point - in theory it shouldn't make any difference. All clubs have salary caps and have to fit him in that. It's irrelevant how much money you have in the rest of the club.

That said, Carlton are known serial cheats. They might be able to offer opportunities outside football and after football -
And still the AFL reward them with priority picks!  Who's the biggest idiot? :banghead

my rumour which i didnt hear at the b&f is that we are right into this trade period up to our eyeballs.

Judd
McLean
McGuire

How far under the salary cap are we. Can we get one Judd or McLean into the PSD.

McGuire from the saints for our second rounder.

I get the feeling we may trade 2.

all three players may cost less than 1.5 milion. Also been told Judd wont be screwing over his new club $750-800k is where it all fall in the end.

if we get Judd McLean and  McGuire, i will have an orgasmic fit!

mclean alone would be a big win, add judd and mcguire and we are a top 4 side just like that!

Can someone please say if McLean is contracted or not??

I heard:

If we don't get Judd PSD, we'll get McLean

Maguire for pick 18
And you may not think I care for you
When you know down inside that I really do

i believe we are right in the box seat to get 2 out of the 3 done. Doing 3 will be hard, but with luck ... anything could happen, its also possible that these rumours are all crap and we end up with zip. But these 3 players put Ploughs 2011 right on target.

Maguire for pick 19 is probably a fair trade but I'd rather hope we could keep our early picks and do a 3-way trade like we did with Fiora and Simmo. Perhaps we could trade a player for another second rounder if we do have to give up pick 19.

Melbourne would want our pick 2 at least for McLean. I rate him but pick 2 should be off limits during trade week. We still need to bring through and develop our own players each year especially when you have top 2 pick. We shouldn't be coughing up too much otherwise we aren't improving our list. We really want trades involving the best players to fall over so we get a freebie in the PSD.

If we get say Maguire for pick 19 and McLean in the PSD then I would say the club has done well. That still leaves us well placed in the National draft to pick our some quality kids.
