Welcome to Tigerland - Jordan McMahon and Mitch Morton
« on: October 12, 2007, 05:02:33 AM »
Whatever we all personally think of the club's trading (there's other threads to discuss that issue not this one btw), the fact is Jordy and Mitch are now one of US and we as members and supporters should make them feel welcome at Punt Rd and get behind them. We would all love to be in their shoes.

So welcome to Tigerland boys  :cheers

Good luck to both hopefully they play well and create good careers for themselves at Richmond especially Mitch Morton who could be a very good player down the track.

welcome boys.

now that i have calmed down a tad , im not that displeased. would have prefered to pick up one of these blokes in the psd for nothing but hopefully someone decent still gets through to the psd 4 us

anyway , if its true that we gave up pick 35 for mitch, thats a steal, cos he is a far better player than that. hordy, at 19 , well beggers cant be chosers and he could just end up being a trup card 4 us cos he can be really good and is a far better back flanker than raines.

so lets look at it as a whole deal not 2 separate deals, we gaine mitch and jordy, lose 19 and 35. that does not seem too bad, esp if we get 16 for jay.

so again welcome to the rfc

and lets pray for 2 things,

1/ someone decent falls to the psd
and
2/ that cale becomes a far better player than cotchin(cos i think we may just chase him at pick 2 now)

lol

thats right, yesterday these blokes were not tigers, today they are.

so we cant really bag them cos they havent even played a bad game 4 us yet . so lets see how they go.

i have a gut feeling mitch will be damn good, esp if his lil bro is selected by us. mitch has stated for weeks now he wanted to coem to us, thats right, he wanted us, unlike many others , he wanted us- this is importanat and i feel will make him play better and harder.

jordy chise us (or terry) also so he will be out to impress, just like all teh other ex dogs that have come over.

paddy bowden had a fantastic 1st yr 4 us, this yr he was plagued by injury and copped lots of flack which imho was not called for.

imagine next season, we start kicking butt and winning games and browny is on fire, p-bo is back to his 2006 form(or better) and jordy is killing it rebounding off hbf (releaving joel to play in the midfeild hff or wing!) all the ex doggy baggers and anti miller/wallace ppl(including me) will be singing all their praises.

footy is a funny game

Here Here!

Welcome Boys.......Especially excited about Mitch Morton. I am good mates with Ryan Murphy from fremantle and try to watch as much WAFL as possible and obviously Mitch was Rated alongside Lids and Griffen and Tambo as one of the Best Midfielders in the 04 draft so to have him at Richmond at just 20yrs of age is fantastic.

The foot skills this kid has are actually worth getting excited about.....Him and Lids will work well together.
