It was amazing to see the progress this kid made in such a short amount of time. His development pay testament to the education he has received from the coaches and development staff over the last couple of years. He has had the 'Rance 360 flip turn' taken out of his game and he now looks for the first option. His footskills have improved as a result. He was always courageous, athletic and strong but despite his larakin demenia, he was lacking confidence in his decision making which he has now obviously gained.

He is now our best tall backman. I think he will only get better.  :thumbsup

You could always see it in Rance that he had massive potential. Right physique, athletic ability and a good pedigree. I remember when we drafted him at pick 18 in 2007 that he had a lot of attributes that over time with good coaching would see him become a quality player. Unfortunately that good coaching did not commence until 2010 when Hardwick came on board. I have no doubt that Hardwick's appointment is directly responsible for the massive improvements Rance has made in his game and I can only see him getting better.  :thumbsup

Hi guys, let me just start off by introducing myself as I have been a long time lurker but just signed up.
Mad tigers fan since 1972 when I used to attend Cremorne street primary school in Richmond. Too young to got to the 73-74 back to back premierships, but was there in full voice for our monumental victory over the wobblers in 1980, and, I'm another Greek to boot :)
Now, about this kid Rance, I'll be the first to admit that I was not too happy with him initially, as i found him a tad too erratic when handling the ball and making bad decisions in general play. However, in the last couple of seasons, I have become one of his greatest supporters. I think we have a player here who will bleed like Bourkey, run through opponents like Balmey, empower his teammates like Richo, and be just as good in defence as good ol' Clay. We have a winner here.

Hope he doesnt suffer the curse of the one season screamer
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Thanks for the welcome guys.
Just want to say I sincerely hope we get a good season under our belts. For the sake of us, the longest suffering supporters over the last 30 years. Having said that, I'm quietly optimistic about the coming season.

I think you're right about Leppa. He has made a huge impace on a lot of our KPP. I remember seeing him wrestling with Rance, Post and Riewoldt and showing them how to position their bodies at the beginning of 2010 before Jack took off. He is a find,

Wheres "the voice of reason" claw to tell us, his year last season wasnt actually very good at all, was actually quite poor and is not even a C+ grade player let alone what you would consider the real deal. Too many weaknesses and not big enough to be a longterm KPD, might be lucky to be a bit part 3rd tall with his many weaknesses
