Yet Alex still finished 6th in the B&F. Underrated by many 'supporters'. Not the coaching staff though.

Grimes would have been top 4 if he played all year. He averaged as many votes per game as any other player bar Cotch IIRC

FWIW Grimes has missed a season of footy the past 2 years. Promising player absolutely but wouldn't be hanging my hat on that one. As for Morris..well he's not a key back is he.

Rance plays at another level when Grimes is there. If Grimes had to play without Rance, he may struggle a little as well. Both extremely important to the other, need them both on field for us. Add Chaplin to them and if we don't have any injuries between the 3 . . . well watch out

You said Rance has been our best defender for two years. Steven Morris = a defender and our best one this year. Funny how small forwards no longer destroy us...yet we still need a monster full back apparently because Rance isn't good enough to take the best forwards in the comp. There's no shame in that. Rance is alright, he has a crack but let's not talk him up as if he's something special.

I think some 'supporters' think Rance is better than he actually is.

Nah I don't think so. Grimesy is a very good defender one on one. Just a very good player overall, IMO. For a kid that's had the injuries he's had (and is still young) he's been bloody good. Chaplin will be a reasonable upgrade on Posty
