Do realise how bitter your posts make you appear Jackstar? It's not a good look. If you were like this while you were at the RCF there is little wonder that you are no longer there. I'd get rid of someone with that sort of attitude if they were working for me, and I'm a softy.

there is a rule in business that i always stick with, never employee people with a negative attitude because eventually it will spread like a cancer.

sorry Jackstar it just gets repetitive after awhile...

No offence RRROFO, I dont think you would employ people and I dont think you would be a senior management type? Could be wrong?
I run a business TWICE the size of the RFC champ.
Everything is positive in our business and we dont finish on the bottom, we are achievers and dont revert to spin doctoring.!

that was my quote about employing people jackstar, and quite frankly mate you wouldnt have a clue what my business dealings are and one thing about business never assume anything about anyone.

You're such a sook.  You don't mind attacking one of the things we luv most but take offence when we defend it and attack you like you do the club.  We're just as insulted by your remarks as you are ours. Cya later  :-*

I have never made personal attacks on any poster here, not like you have.
Your problem is that you know I am right but you are blinded by your love of the RFC.
I ask you this, why have so many past players dont want anything to do with the RFC and work at other clubs ?
Plough has pleaded with guys like Ash Prescott and others and they have gone elsewhere.
Good luck Moi winning your back to back spoons! :stupid
As for attacking the club, why not, They are the laughing stock.
Let me know how Jordon McMahon going mid season.
We are struggling to get off the bottom and they go and trade draft pick for HIM!
Should never trade draft picks when you are on the bottom! Especially for a DUD!
People say give Jordon a go, Jordon plays scared and is the typical zone off player, cant win his own ball. Do we need this sort of player, NO!
3 years at $1,000,000.  How many memberships will it take to pay for him.!
Anyway, am deleting my account, not going to argue with ill informed people anymore, you just read the Herald Sun!

You trying to say it's Plough's fault past players won't come back to the club?
You're quite insane with your hate for Terry!

I'm sorry I don't know about any of the history of this site or previous confrontations people have had here so this post is without bias in any way.

In my opinion Terry Wallace is the perfect coach for our club in our current stage. When he arrived we were stagnant, disfunctional and factional. For decades we as supporters would demand instant success from our coaches and team. Coaches never lasted because they never had time to rebuild. They were constant fear from season to season that they would lose their job and so traded away draft picks for ready made players who could offer something immediately. They never had the luxury to wait for players to develop.

When TW arrived he did so with the reputation of being media suvvy (a spin-doctor :)), tacticially astute and a lateral thinker. He was sought after by numerous clubs but chose the Tigers as long as they would give him the time, 5 years in fact, to rebuild the club. History had shown him that a smaller contract would have never allowed him the longevity to see through his plan or reap any of the rewards of its fruition.

For the last 3 years TW has stuck by the plan. He has continued to inject quality youth into the team and attempt to create our own stars. This years draft continued to reinforce this goal.

The most amazing fact is that, even though we have finished bottom of the ladder this year, as supporters we are still optomistic about the future. TW has been nothing but transparent and accountable with his vision for the club, sometimes to his own determent. We made a profit of over one million dollars, a growing membership total and an exciting team that we know will be something special.

If TW was any other coach he would have been out the door by now. We needed someone to sell us hope, to sell us a vision and TW did just that while all the while allowing our great club to rebuild.

All this hard work and short terms pain will finally give us future sustained success and I know that I have TW to largely thank for that.

Whatever happens in the future I believe he deserves to be at our club to witness his vision come to fruition.

Top post Stripes  :clapping

Despite occasionally wavering (Kingsley) the club on the whole has stuck to our youth policy. We now have 24 players under 23 with probably 3-4 more coming in just over a week's time. It's now up to the club to show it is able to develop the young list into a successful team over the few years. Part of that is boosting resources which is what the Club is doing. Whether Plough still has the reigns by then of course depends on the final 2 years of his contract. Another shocker of a year like 2007 and it'll be tough for him to survive. As Ramps has said a few times Terry may be setting up the list for his successor to reap the glory.

I dont think a poor season again next year is an automatic sacking by any stretch. Club needs to be absolutely sure that Wallace cant succeed before they sack him. I can see that the pressure will be on- especially from the supporters, but you know, Richmond needs 1 more year at the bottom, 3 or 4 more talented youngsters, the real test for me is 2009 - Can Wallace coach a group of young players to the finals in the last of his 5 year deal. If he makes the finals in 2009 he stays if he misses out in 2008 and 2009 its all over.

But isn't the draft in 2008 supposed to be stronger ???

If so a climb up the ladder will still get us decent picks :thumbsup

I would love us to make the finals (stranger things have happened in footy) in 2008 especially having stuck by our youth policy (I think I'm not the only one who sees that's what we've been doing :P) Give me 8th, 1 final and draft pick 9 and I reckon we win  ;D
