Yep Knighter has taken on a list that will take years to rebuild and that will get worse before it gets better with Fletcher, Michael, Lloyd and Lucas 30 or older. Ryder is a gem but their other KP options they put their faith in like Bradley who has gone and Johns are duds. Gumbleton has torn his hammy about 4 times in the space of 12 months so there's no guarantee on him either.

As for Sheeds and Malthouse, we opened the door and they shut it back in our faces. Sheeds just used us time and time again to get another contract at Bomberland. He couldn't do it one last time once our board decided to stick with Wallace for 5 years.

We shut the door on Malthouse well before he was leaving the Eagles and we wanted him back.

Goes back to his days with the Dogs.

Regarding Sheedy, a matter of interpretation. He would never leave the bombers to coach us. Whether he played us or not, doesnt change the fact he never wanted to coach us.

and we were offering a lot more money than they were

Lets not make the same mistake with Matty Knights.

Sheeds also barracked for Essendon as a kid. We were/are his second favourite  ::).

As for Knighter, he has to deal with bomber fans who are gutted after today's spanking. They conceded the last 13 goals  :o.

Was quite impressed every time he was in the huddle the young bombers were hanging on every word he said.

He certainly has them playing for him.

Much as I dislike Essendon I'm pleased for Knighter. He was my favourite tiger in the mid-late 90's.

Yep, remember it well.
I actually told people that the Essendon list was good in fairly good shape
MT said that Sheeds left it in a bad way and essendon were going no where.
Guess what ::)
Sheeds started to play these young players in his last 2 years there.
Matty now has these young players playing an exciting style of play.
actually the bombers were awesome last night.
Good Luck to Matty Knights and the Bombers.
They bottomed out and are now climbing back up.
Now, where is Terrys five year plan.
Oh how we were sucked IN.
My also add love the way that Monfires, Winderlich, Lovett and co play. yes , they are in the 3rd and 4th seasons at windy Hill

You're an idiot, when he achieves something other than beating a team that's won one game, then good luck to him.
He was one of my favourite people at the club and it's always a bonus to have Richmond people who are good at what they do at the club.  But he's not with us so we move on.  And it's not the people on here's fault he isn't so grow up you little man  ;)

i remember winderlich in the game that polo debuted in, polo bog, winderlich was creamed.

after the game , sheedy made him run out at an empty MCG, and made him do repeat sprints

look at him now, wont stop running, and our best runners go sideways and backwards

many on here did bag jack monk and x and bagged sheedy at the time cos he repeatedly reinforced that the bombers list is better than ours and were building a premiership team not a basketball team

i just dont understand how and why terry has bluffed so many so called "intelligent" ppl

They played a team that has a mission to get rid of a coach
That doesn't count

And we've beat the Hawks Carlton and Collingwood last year - big stuffing deal
