Richmond 410 possessions
Fremantle 276 possessions

We won by 3 points, spot the outpoint :help

Good to win though.
The first half was the problem. Far too much nothing handball. We had 60 more possies yet were 4 goals down. After half-time we kicked 9 goals to 3 so our possession count which was more direct fitted our dominance for most of the second half.

Without that supergoal crap we would have won by 15 points.

Best on Ground, Matthew Richardson

He 's like wine.

Better that wine.

Jackson, Lids, Polo, Jack not that far behind at all.

One thing about Greg Miller. He got one thing right thats for sure. Morton. He is an absolute beauty that bloke.

Can someone tell me why we cant play that 2nd half at the start of every game. So much intensity.

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

Tambo got little game time. when he was on he looked ordinary

Nahas kicked a great crumbers goal

Hipslop was quiet

Postie looks like he may be good for us with a bit more game time.

Collins didn't get many opportunities.

Cleve Hughes really has to start pulling his finger out.  Very ordinary.

He 's like wine.

Paying $81 still on Centrebet.  Check them out or some of the others and get on early

I just put him each way  :thumbsup

Good odds Moi, but my question is, can his body go the distance and play ALL 22 games and also will Wallace rest him off and on during the season.

As I said in the other thread I thought it was a diabolical performance. Richo was sensational. Riewoldt is now coming along very very nicely. Morton & Brown need to kick some goals in each game for us to win. Post looks like he has potential but Hughes is a real worry, Bowden not being able to kick backwards or rush behinds was found out ... there were to many disappointing performances for mine. Anyway we move through to round 2, hopefully we can show some significant improvement.

we have no "Tall Forwards!"

Reiwoldt was terrific

Foley was brilliant

Richardson sensational on the wing!

Jackson was "GOOD - OK". when he starts hitting targets, Jackson will be a lot better.

Hughes - so disappointing! though Richmond doesn't have a forward plan kicking it too tall forwards on the lead, so it isn't his full fault. Cleve needs to get some pace!

Bowden - what the f*** does he like stuffing it up for Richmond?

McGuane - gave away free kicks, but has that "tough" side on him which i like!

Hislop - not in Richmond's best 22!

Raines - great to see some of his runs! but sometimes he has got to take the first option.

Nahas - kicked a curial goal, which was great for his confidence.

Edwards - can play! great skills!

Morton - kicked three goals which were at important stages. but i think when he gets more confidence taking high marks. Morton will kick 5-6-7 one match.

Post - didn't play liked we hoped. but he should be up forward. used around the ground. first match with the nerves, can understand. but you can just tell if you get 20 - 30 matches in him. Post will impact!

Brown - needs more speed!

i don't think Richmond was totally lucky. i think Fremantle are lucky Richmond doesn't know how to put teams away properly! and those nine-point goals killed us especially when Fremantle won 2 or 3 of them from free kicks!

was the umpiring a bit harsh on Richmond tonight? because we got a lot of frees against us!

Tuck - rusty! will get better.

It's only a glorified practice game. We still won playing only half a game after giving them a 4-5 goal start on their own dung heap. It's probably a good sign that we are so critical of a win and of a number of Tigers who were disappointing on the night. The win means confidence and momentum stays up yet the margin might knock some reality into the overblown hype so we don't get cocky. We've also still got Thursty, Cotch, Cuz, Cogs, Connors and Jordie to add to last night's side. Fit in Thomson as well plus trialing Vickery. Pressure from the rest of the list means you underperform then you're out.

Yep the first half we were crap. Stuffing around with overpossessing handball and only having 17 inside 50s from over 200 possessions  :P.  I bet Plough gave them a massive spray at half-time. The second half was decent enough as we stopped playing like millionaires and played with intensity and directness. We kicked 9 goals to their 3 and kept them to only 5 goals in the last 3 quarters of footy. Some credit has to go to Freo as well. They turned up to play and jumped us and their kids like Hill and DeBoer were impressive. Last night was far more intense than any of the other NAB Cup games so far. The main thing for me is we got a good competitive run into the squad and best of all got through without copping any new injuries.

i dont know which team your watching but from where i stand we have had poo seasons every year except 1995 and 2001

Settle people...

I know we've had shiit seasons ::)

But after we got to the NAB Cup final the expectations were high that we'd carry it into the season proper we didn't and the season wasn't just a shiit season it was a really shiit season

And just on the game

1st glorified pracrcie game of the year

Played crap 1st half and won = positive

Tried to lose in the last and won = positive

Richo is a champion

A couple of others well to use Ramps favourite word of the weekend - diabolical ;D

Onwards we go to play the Pies  :clapping
