Seriously though, I'd have a look at the list of recently retired ruckman, in particluar those who rucked under the 2 centre circle rule and take someone with that sort of knowledge and experience

Gus Graham for me has been a major disappointment this season, especially the 2nd half of the year. He spends too much time running in looking at his opponent as opposed to actually watching the ball and BTW I reckon he never actually jumps at the centre ball ups 

put together 3 or 4 good games and has done nothing since, still persevere though, riuckman can take ages to come on, Ive seen enough that we may be able to extract more

If he can play out a season like he did for those 3-4 games then we'd have a handy ruckman who would at least be worth keeping for depth. As a 22 year old off the rookie list, there's still a chance he can do that over the next 2 years. Would want to step it up again in 2010 though.

Hardwick will be given permission to bring in several hand-picked assistant coaches, and already has ideas about who he might bring on board, including retiring Port ruckman Brendon Lade.

Current assistant Wayne Campbell, who discussed his future with Hardwick yesterday, has two years on his contract and wants to stay.

Jade Rawlings is also contracted, while David King and Brian Royal are expected to explore options elsewhere.

Retiring Port Adelaide star Brendon Lade, a premiership teammate of Hardwick's, shapes as a possible candidate. Lade, who will play his last game alongside another retiree, Peter Burgoyne, against North Melbourne on Sunday, said yesterday he was keen to gain experience away from Alberton Oval.

Jeff White is doing a good job coaching up here in QLD

Lade would be great as a ruck coach.

What I like about the Hardwick appointment is that Damien has been involved in 3 premierships at 3 clubs and therefore has played and worked with in environments that are driven and success oriented. Therefore he will hopefully be able to recruit a good calibre of individuals who have been successful and will work in a collective and effective way. Damien is universally seen as a respected assistant coach in the footy community and hopefully that impeccable reputation will be enough to attract some real good assistants who can ply their trade and significantly improve the list behind the scenes.

None of this Walla$$ King and Royal B/S we have put up with for far too long.

Whats amazing is this, posters/media saying Dean Wallis.
Poor Dean cant put 2 sentences together and people want him  to coach Coburg .
Important ingredient to being a good coach is to be a execptional communicator.

Lets why such good footballers like Hart , Schimma and Watson were extremely poor coaches.

The media couldn't find out who the senior coach was so I wouldn't trust their info guessing who the assistants will be. Who knows Jade may stay after all and return to coach Coburg.
