Best game I’ve seen him play since his debut season. Think he’s left his run too late even if he keeps this up.

How is it too late?

He is 22 and is a better option than several guys on the list.
.
He has started to show he can be functional hff or wing

I thinks it’s too late because this is the first really good game he has played since 2022.

We have TT, Hopper, Prestia, Lalor, Smillie, Hotten, Macauliffe all to run through the midfield + potentially 2 more mids to be drafted by years end. I just don’t like his chance of getting another contract with 5 games to go.

Another way to look at it is he is same age as rioli.

You'd hope they would be better by now but there is still prob some time of their side

Difference is Rioli is contracted for next year and plays in a position that has less competition in.

I’ve like Sonsie ever since he burst onto the scene in 2022 in his debut season but how he played on Saturday hasn’t been seen in a long long time.

All I’m saying is that given he is out of contract I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he is delisted at the end of the season.

I wouldn't be shocked if he is delisted but it seems unlikely with only 2,3 and Kellaway + the state of our list.

Looks no worse than as an option as ralphsmith, trezie, dow etc. at this moment in time

Agree that he’s the best of that bunch of 4. Think dows out of contract, think Hugo is contracted and not sure about tresize.

Think we’ll cut/retire around 5 players to make room for national + rookie draft picks.

Not competitive enough and delivery skills are not as good as should be. Most of our first year players have gone past him. Should be gone at end of this year. :cheers

I think he’s showing more week by week. Especially around the footy.

I’m not sure this guy is still
scapegoat material 🙀 Good game.
Thought he almost  covered for Taranto, but not quite.

Thought his 1st half was ordinary

But kudos to the kid, he fought back really well in the 2nd half

His contested game is what needs work but then you look at Naicos and although he's clearly an elite player you wouldn't say he's a contested ball king either.

Sonsie got better as the game went on. Clean hands, make an option for the backline all day, and although he misses targets at times you can see his technique and class by foot is there, both sides too.

Keep.

Good call. I lost count of the number of cheapies young Nick got standing at the back of the contests yesterday
