I've been supporting Richmond since 1972

Member for 43 years

I'll also support them, wiil always be a member. The Club has given me so much. I've seen the highest of highs and been through the years of the being in footy wilderness... wouldn't change it

But it's also OK to be critical of the Club.

For me at the moment it's not the results that are gnawing at me it is the lack of effort. It is beyond disappointing. I haven't questioned the effort for a very long time...

BTW great post mat  :clapping

“It’s the lack of effort.”

Couldn’t agree more. Pressure, tackling and running hard doesn’t take skill or a game plan to do.

Increase the pressure, tackling and hard running and we don’t lose by that amount.

I question whether our “11 Premiership” players, excluding Vlastuin and Rioli, are leading by example?

Our cubs need matches, keep blooding them.

Our “Premiership Players” need to not accept the past two weeks.

There needs to be pride in the jumper and a fight and fight to win attitude.

There's no excuses for the lack of effort and utter capitulation.

I wasn't expecting much this year but the sort of effort is unacceptable by any Richmond player

Never in doubt. Made of steel that lot.

on another topic i just watched "The Final" on a flight home.

Watch it if you haven't.

There is something odd about the Fawcett situation...

No there isn't

Would like to know what is going on with Fawcett

Back, indefinite, really concise and insightful …NOT

Wasn't it a stress fracture or oedema?
Unsure

Read it somewhere in this thread it is oedema

Found it

That was March 20, now we are 2 months on ….

Yes and?

It is a condition that can take a very long time to correct, recover from. Get it wrong, rush him back before fully recovered ...well let's not go there ::)

Tigers could have 20 players unavailable as injury crisis worsens

The Tigers' injury nightmare continues to worsen

By Sarah Black

RICHMOND is once again facing severely limited numbers as the Tigers' injury crisis intensifies, the unavailability list now a chance to hit an astonishing 20 players.

The Tigers have suffered yet another round of injuries, with Rhyan Mansell (concussion) definitely ruled out of Dreamtime at the 'G, while Sam Naismith tore his ACL in the VFL and is set to undergo his fourth knee reconstruction.

Richmond is now down to one fit ruck, captain Toby Nankervis.

Subbed out key forward Mykelti Lefau has been cleared of a broken jaw, but it remains to be seen if he will be declared fit to play.

Jacob Bauer – who has battled a hamstring injury this year – was also a late withdrawal from the VFL side, this time with a quad issue.

Teams must name a squad of 26 players (23 and three emergencies), and only Jacob Koschitzke, Samson Ryan and Kaleb Smith – who were emergencies for the Brisbane defeat – were left standing by the end of the VFL game.

If a fit three emergencies cannot be reached, there's a chance injured players will be named in order to make the minimum.

But Richmond will be hoping to regain Liam Baker (corked leg) and Dylan Grimes (back), who have both been sidelined for two weeks.

The Tigers will release their official injury list on Tuesday, but last week listed concussed pair Sam Banks and James Trezise as set to miss only one match, while Seth Campbell (knee bone bruising) and Jack Graham (hamstring) are outside chances to face the Bombers.

Richmond has used 39 players this year, comfortably the most of any side. The only Tigers yet to take to the field are long-term injured pair Liam Fawcett and Mate Colina (back), Bauer (who has been sidelined most of this season), second-year Kaleb Smith and category B rookie Oliver Hayes-Brown, who is currently playing in the VAFA, the level below the VFL.

Richmond Rant / Re: Sack Yze
« Last post by eliminator on Today at 08:48:53 PM »
Yze does not have the cattle to implement the game plan he wants. He has to adjust his game plan to fact that we can't just dump it long and expect someone to mark it. In the short term he is being punished for the fact that we have had so few top ten picks since 2016. We lack proven ball winners. This side heavily depends on Taranto. Hopefully McAuliffe
will develop into the mid we need but we need more. We have lost enormous leaders at the club and with the exception of Nank. Rioli and Vlastuin the other senior players have let us down. Short and kmac  should have been doing everything possible to help the defence against Brisbane.  Neither did. Finally the side needs to concentrate on the basics like
tackling. Pickett"s tackle on rayner is how you tackle.

Richmond Rant / Re: State of Umpiring [merged]

I think the rules just have to be simplified. There should be no prior op. If you are caught and don't dispose correctly. You are gone.
If there are hands in the back (fwd or backline) it's in the back. Umps should not be made to make split second judgements on force, prior, sufficient attempt etc. Call the rules black and white...no grey area.
The players will all adjust their game style accordingly to how the decisions are paid, if the umps pay them the same and effectively every game.
And while we are on rules, please Nick off the 666 and stand rule 🤦

I totally agree with you. It is okay to criticise the club. Whilst there are a variety of views on this site it is clear that everyone on this site wants the club to succeed and can't stand the club being in the predicament it is in.
