Said it many times before, Conca can play and play very well. We all see things differently but i see a player who sticks tackles, runs into the rights positions, gets the hardball, clearances, kicks well enough, team player, brings others into the game like Edwards does and even he still cops it from some :P. Keeper for mine :clapping
We require times, opponents and dates of this please?

You only need to watch the game with open eyes and you will see that can play the game. But again, its my opinion :whistle

Which "game"?

Kicked 3 goals against Brisbane in 2013 and backed it up with another 3 goals against GWS two weeks later.

Against quality defense  ::)

Conca is a gutsy determined footballer, who wins his own ball..What in my opinion lets him down badly is his decision making which is almost the worst i have seen at Richmond for quite a few years

Pick 6 for a jam donut.

Ive defended him in the past but after spraying the ball around in the EF ive had enough. Can't hit a target over 20m. Spoons the ball when under minimal pressure to players who are under pressure.

Ill diciplined and Ill tempered.

And we are paying through the nose for him salary wise.
yeah, who'd have thought that a bloke who has barely played any senior footy for 12 months and not too much footy at all this season would struggle with the intesnity when thrown into an AFL final without having played any footy for 8 weeks or so?

True, and yet Conca should have said that he wasn't ready to play with no AFL level match fitness. The same way Stokes did for Geelong in 2009 when he pulled out for a prelim for being unfit and missing a premiership.

He wanted to play and knew he was underdone.

Im with you Dooks. I've run out of patience with him.
His turnover running out of defence in the elim was sooooooo deflating.
He just can't kick the footy.

Can't kick and never will, got a horrible ball drop - watch how much his kicks spin. Is tough, tackles well and I like how he usually hits the packs at full speed, but eff me his disposal is atrocious under pressure

I'd say weekly. Probably at least 4 out of 9 games every round.

Thing that annoys me is some of the best kicks I've ever seen have come off his boot under pressure. Think he struggles more in the open

Realistically he is just a battler. And if we picked him up at pick 50 and he had played 50 odd games for the club I think most people would be pretty happy with him. But the simple fact is we judge players on where they get picked up in the draft. And pick 6 puts him in the JON category if you consider the drafts they were both in.
Not even in my starting 22 if I were to pick a side today even if he was fit, and that being the case if we could get a trade for someone that potentially is would be a bonus and a way of cutting our losers and moving on.
We all talk and hope we will pick up a "big fish" this year but having pick 6 in a very good draft is the easiest way to do that. And it's years before you have to pay them what they are actually worth. Add Heppel to our side this year and we are top 4..... And then who knows....
