Its normal for players out of contract with their managers to talk to every club after the season.
Otherwise why would you need a manager for. Everyone jumping out of their skins just because reports of offers.
Just like our club has approached managers of players out of contract at Scum, Aints, Skunks,

Since I can remember the only 'decent' players to have lost are Maxfield and Ottens. Shows how pathetic we have been that no otehr club has bothered to try and take a Richmond player. All of a sudden we now have an issue of keeping our players away from other clubs grubby hands. Need to manage this well and we should be right. All comes with having a good list. Conca will stay

It is, but its not normal when negotiations drag out for almost an entire season. Managers wouldn't be doing their job if they didn't shop around and get a feel of market value, but when it drags on for this long, theres more to it than just posturing

Would not be concerned if he choose to go back home. Richmond need to stick with Victorian talent & learn from past mistakes of drafting. But in saying that one of my favourite footballers in Victoria fell to home sickness
