After 3 years of injury-interrupted seasons (2015-17), Conca has played every match so far in 2018 [touchwood] averaging 20 disposals per game.

Hopefully all real RFC supporters will appreciate the level of dedication and perseverance this guy has displayed to get to the point he is today where others may have thrown in the towel long ago.
His stats released recently back up the true picture. He is a very talented footballer who will only improve his decision making and kicking through game continuity and confidence

Generally a whipping boy for many of the dullards on here, but the coaching staff select you for good reason.  Pity many of our supporters think they know better.

I’m not a fan of his but that was bad luck for the bloke no player deserves that. Just rotten luck.

Hope it’s not as bad as it looked and hope he gets back to playing again soon.

Suspected broken ankle  .


Just half a quarter into his 100th game, Reece Conca suffered a sickening ankle injury.

Conca was twisted in a tackle by Lance Franklin and Tom McCartin and suffered what appeared to be a fracture or serious lower leg injury.

Play was stopped at length as he was treated on the field and taken off on a cart with the "green whistle" anaesthetic.

He was surrounded by his teammates before being taken from the field and waved to the crowd to acknowledge their support as they cheered for him.

Conca's entire career has been dogged by injuries - foot problems and chronic hamstring trouble.

Would depend on how bad the break is. Worst case scenario is it is career ending.
